I think im going with Full Metal Jacket and be really inaccurate and use M41's just like the flim .
I will have the M41 parked up with the commnder hanging out the hatch and have G.I's behind it in support.
Btw are single figures allowed?
I don't see why you couldn't do a single figure? we need at least 12 to get the go ahead for the campaign so if you are interested let me know??

My bad would still be an interesting conversion for someone to try ? I know there is a T 55 based tiger that dose the rounds in the uk along with a FV 432 based stug.
If there is enough interest i will knock out some parameters for the campaign how about seen it on the screen for a campaign title?
There is a T-55 based Tiger replica in the UK, but it was not used in SPR. It was made for some other TV or movie production and is now in the hands of re-enactors. Looks pretty cool to me.

Hi all!
Just found this thread through the other thread... This one:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/128407#1143146As I said there, I'd be in with an M41 from Patton. Always liked the sleek look without the muzzle break!
Wasn't the T55-Tiger used in Kelly's Heroes? I know that wasn't a real tiger as well. Or was that the same as in SPR?
Cheers
Stef

Hi there,
Formations models do a conversion for oddballs sherman in Kelly's Heroes.(About half way down page)
http://www.formationsmodels.com/1871900.htmlI have always fancied doing a dio of the paint round scene with the t34/tiger and sherman.
Cheers, Jim.

The Tiger was used in Band of brothers. Which I might do something out of that for this campaign.

You got my vote for it!
Now to find a replacement barrel... Just noticed that the Skybow M-41 barrel is molded with the muzzle break on it...
Cheers!

Hi
I should think that a start time either late this year or early next year would be ok.
As for some parameters I'd go with something along the lines of any vehicle/tank as used in a film. Also saying that it does not needing to be 100% historical accurate but needs to look as the film version.
I'd say that you need to say what film your also basing your model on when you start the build & when you finally add your pic's to the finished gallery. Other than that Have Fun.

I would like to do the jeep from Rat Patrol if approved. I loved that show when I was a kid. Would the vehicle from the movie Stripes be OK? I like the movie and vehicle cracks me up. I do not know if I could find an RV kit to bash or not. It would be fun to attempt.

Hello All,
Lets get a count of who wants to do this campaign.
As for the rules, I think that we all agree that any War Movie/TV Show is allowed. That means both Historically Accurate and Fiction will be allowed. The Length of the campaign should be about 6 months long and all types of builds will be allowed IE: Planes, Figures, Vehicles, Space, etc.
How does that sound to all of you?
Lets here your ideas about when the campaign should start, I think it should start late spring/sumer 2010.
Cheers,
Bruce

Given all my other projects March, 2010 would be a good start time for me if it runs 6 months.

I'd like to see this one come together, though I will have a few time issues if it starts too early. May would be the earliest for me, preferably July - December. Or then make it more than 6 months. But that's just me...

Hello all,
We have 5 so far, But we need 5 more to make this a go.
It sounds like most of you want it to start around June/July 2010. That sounds all right with me.
Lets see if we can get some others to commit to the campaign.
Cheers,
Bruce
