Well now, some of you guys are done already! Great work! Not much going on in the last few weeks though...
My project (M41 as used in the movie Patton) has been ready for paint for some time, I just didn't find the time to take any pics. So here goes:
The Skybow kit is a gem of a kit and you'll encounter no problems with it unless you glue the parts on the wrong way like me... The barrel is (IIRC) an Eduard Panzer IV 75/L70 barrel and fits quite well.
Started painting, but due to the humid conditions I can't airbrush for more than 10 mins. at a time. One watertrap obviously isn't enough at the moment...
Cheers!
Stefan

Would rebuilding one of these as a Gen K humvee qualify for the campaign? They're some of my very early builds and I think my skills have progressed since:
It would involve a complete strip down, rebuild (without X pattern doors) and loads of stowage from spares box and scratching for camo nets etc. and then doing the home-grown camo scheme.

Hey Guys !
Here is where I'm at with Oddball's Sherman (BTW: I'm also posting progress over on the Sherman Campaign Thread, even though the build is for this Campaign - The Shermaholics there may like it )
** Basic (pre worked) welds on the upper hull. I'll mark the beads in the next few days and drill drainage holes.
** Formations Late Single Piece Cast Transmission used to replace the kit Transmission.
** Upper hull attached to the lower Hull.
** Formations Armored Exhaust deflector added, including Turnbuckles and styrene Filler plates (I scratched these instead of using the resin ones).
** Formations Sponson filler plates used to fill those big holes under the sponsons
** Bogies assembled with Formations wheels sets and skids.
Now Oddballs Sherman is indeed an 'Odd' Beast. There is a scene in the movie during the fight at the railroad tunnel where the tank rolls past the camera and you can see all the wheels on the left side of the tank. On that side alone there are both the smooth dish and the welded mixed in with three or four of the spoked stamped. wheels.
From front to rear on the left I came up with :
Spoked stamped, dished, dished, welded, spoked stamped, spoked stamped.
So that is what I have done on that side. The Right side is slightly different
Some progress pics (the bogies are 'tacked on' with Blu-Tac) :
'Woof, Woof '

Paul nice job on the Shermie. Looks much like the same treatment I gave my M4A3 a couple of years ago. You gotta really like those Formations bits.
Just noticed how really crappy my pics are... I will have to redo them sometime, when I'm not too lazy to set up the photo booth...
Cheers!

Thanks Stefan,
I've since maked up the weld beads and bought some brass rod for handles. More pics on the weekend I think.

G'day Guys !
Here are some pics of where I'm at on 'Oddballs' Shermie.
The hull is 90 % finished apart for the tail light guards and the hatches. I'll also add some straps to Oddball's '90 mm' tube on the RHS of the hull (the Tamiya masking tape looks a bit dodgy ), and also the nut / bolts on the lower bogies.
The DS tracks are on temporarily. I'll add the front guards after the tracks are on permanently.
The turret has yet to have any detail added (including the huge speaker ).
I haven't used PE on the headlight guards as they're covered with German helmets (from Tank).
Woof, woof, woof !!

As always all comments are welcome.

Tom, looks like you're making some good progress. Is that the SAS set for the Tamiya Jeep? I built that a long time ago. Does it work well with the Italeri kit?
Cheers!

Stefan,
I am using the regular jeep and the SAS jeep set. I am very dissapointed in the photo-etched parts. There is like no instructions on how and where to bend the items. Plus the instruction sheet in general is really lacking. I still have to try and get some primer and paint on the main parts.

Here is my completed entry for the campaign. The figures will go into the jeep once they are done. They are being built for the Change Your Troops Campaign.
The model for the campaign is Italeri 314 willys jeep with Verlinden's 1275 Willys jeep detail and 1434 SAS jeep detail. Dash decals are from Archer 35241 Jeep Instruments. It was painted with Model Master, Tamiya and Vallejo Acrylic paints. The only problem with the whole assembly is the Verlinden set's lack of good directions. Other than that it went well. I will also post two pictures in the campaign gallery.
Like always all comments are welcome, now it is on to the next campaign.
Weathering will come later as I have a diorama planed for this jeep and the second one from the Rat Patrol show.
