What about boats? I'm thinking of the Dragon's Vietnam era Seal support craft & seal team?
Cheers,
Sean
I don't see why not Sean would be a bit different.
Great, thanks. I'm in....

I am in, too.
Some ideas, but not sure yet.
I am thinking about a small vignette with the
Mercedes MB 250 GD "Wolf" with some figures of german KSK ...
Second idea is a vignette with three figures, Australian S.A.S., preparing for a jungle patrol in Vietnam...
Best regards from germany

I am going to have to rethink this idea. I have been looking for Hobby Fan Trading's Delta Force Fast Attack Vehicle. If I actually find one I think I am not sure I could afford it.

I'm looking over the thread with everybody's ideas and it looks like I am the only doing a pre 20th century subject; is that ok, or should I change my plans?

Looking foreard to seeing the builds.
Well looks like i cant stretch the budget to Accurate armours SAS land rover like i wanted to do. so i have just got a MH47-E Chinook of eBay for a good price, and i will add some Eduard PE for good measure.

Saw this cool campaign and started to make a SAS figure. The figure and gun are from Academys Bradley kit. Made today some fixes to the hands angles (still have to put some putty to those) and builded the chestrig and combat packback (those MOLLE loops were litle bit difficult to do). Also tried to make a trijicon sight to the AR based weapon, hope that it reminds it somehow. I will try to make the keffiyeh (arabic scarf) from a hand cleaning paper, lets see how it will end up
This is a very nice build, been thinking of doing a modern SF figure for a long time.

Hello again, the SAS figure is now ready for paint!
Made the headgear from a hand celaning paper and added a knife to the packpack and a waterbotle to the belt. The pistol on the chest is made from a rifle handle. Also made all the webbing for the backpack and chestrig, too bad that they dosn't show almost all... Stil have to add a rifle sling and I think I will also add a camelbak hose to the backpack.
Made the rifle to a silenced one, therefore thought of a name to the figure, it is now "silent hunter"

Should do.
I've started on the FAV, but the build is going slooooooowly. Parts not lining up, no where solid for the parts to fit, a real PITA.

"Silent Hunter" 1/35 SAS fighter in Afganistan is ready!
What do you thing, any positives/negatives?
This was a really nice figure to build and paint, due to the modern theme

Hi guys,
I also subscribed for this campaign, but my ideas were little bit faster than my construction... originally I thought to join this campaign with another project, but I am still in the middle of the current one.
I am not sure you will accept it for this campaign as on the May 1st I was already in progress, but I can assure you the construction will still last for over 2 months, so there will be an improvement visible ..unless I decide to through it out of window due to getting on my nerves
And if you don't accept it, just let me know.
This is the Accurate Armour SAS Land Rover converted into "1991" version. Honestly speaking it wasn´t very tough to convert despite it is more things to change/cut off/add than the frame. I am sending you few pictures of the finished, but unpainted model to see which pieces do not come from the kit and other to show the kit in a base colour ready to get the camouflage. I decided to add the tarp already now as it was formed straight on the frame using gauze, paper and disperse glue. I didn´t want the final paintjob to suffer from that.
So, any comment welcome. Unless you tell me to go I will keep you posted with updates on the construction.
Regards
Jiri
