@ Remco -
I really like your T-34 with the version 2.0 foliage, much better looking and more in scale than the first attempt. Very nice weathering, as well. I hope that I finish up half as well on my SU-85 for the Total Tamiya Campaign.
Thanks,
Stephen

It's gonna be close this one...
I was planning on adding a mine-roller KMT-6 device from SKIF on this one, but no time for that and also a cool sparetrack armour like this one
But no time either, so it will be OOB and after the 1st Set I'll work on those extras.
Still missing on the T-62,
- add cables
- add limber
These were painted minutes ago...
Add gun to turret (both painted too)
Decals & weathering.
I guess I can make it in 2 days...
I will apply some light weathering since I plan to add the KMT-6 later on..
I wanted to take some pics this weekend but the daylight hours were mostly workbench hours (besides eating, drinking, watching F1 training & race, MotoGP races, Indy car Racing ...ehehe)

Hey fellow builders!
Thanks for the nice complements
@ Maeusemelker (DIERK)- You are paying good attention to the work Dierk
I like that. The hatch is without doubt heavy, it was so heavy that they put in a counterballance. They used a spring at first and later a... i don't know the word but i going to discribe it...somekind of shockabsorber thingy on oil presure. The counterballance was made to aid, in the opening of the hatch. Sometimes the tankers used ther belts on the opening mechanism to keep the hatch down. So if they get hit by a enemy shell, pulled the belt and the hatch would open immediately and jumped out. This action was the difference of live and death...
@ minas-ithil (Stephen Vermilye)- Yes, this foilage is much better. Thanks for the diorama link
@ Nito74 (John)- Remember John, 23:59 31-08-2011 is still on time...
This was a verry nice experience to participate on this campaign and i would like to thank everyone for the encouragement and nice complements.
A special thanks for the people who have the bravery to point me on mistakes or other mishaps. This comment makes me a better builder and lets me think outside the box
Thanks guys

Well, no sign of the T-72 parts (yet), and the ASU-85 is just at the paint stage.
Would it be possible to get an extension of a few days? I should be able to get the ASU-85 done, but if I start rushing (and not allowing things to dry properly) I'm likely to wreck it.

I´m considering to resign from this campaign because it´s almost 100 % sure, that I won´t be finishing my kit in time. I had zero minute time in July to build it because of family and RL issues plus some difficulties with kit didn´t help at all. Turret is painted with base colour and needs next some highlights, gloss clear, decals, etc.. Body is primed and I´m attaching wheels with their axels on it.
I would need week or two to finish it. Right now I´m suffering flu and have to rest doing nothing..

@ Byron - any chance of uploading the photos? Some of us aren't on facebook, because we don't like the idea of handing our personal details over to the 'Zucker-boy' and want to retain a semblance of privacy

Here they are, I rushed the photos a little, since I wanted to finish on time (then I noticed that we add a few more days...)
Model: T-62 mod.62 from Trumpeter
Paint: Tamyia, Valejo & Humbrol ,MIG, AK Inter.
I consider it finished , but I will work on the SKIF KMT-6 Mine roller set and will add it to the kit.
I will then re-weather it a bit more, specially on the lower hull.
Thanks for a great campaign !!
It's too bad I'm on too many Campaigns and sometimes we lose focus on a kit because we have too many plastic on our hands and so little time...
Anyway it's always a joy building these Cold War relics, I might consider getting more versions of T-62 & PT-76 ..

Well, let's call this one done...
Some pics from earlier - meant to post them, never got around until now.
The Trumpeter ASU-85 is not a bad kit, but there are a couple of areas that I found aggravating:
The Tracks - not sure what type of plastic they use, but these were difficult to glue. Normally, I assemble individual link tracks in sections using the thin Testors glue, as this dries slow enough that I can get the entire track assembled. For whatever reason, the track would not glue and I had sections falling apart as I attempted to get it around the idler, sprocket and road wheels.
The photo etch attachment for the spotlight - nice idea to get it thin enough that it was in scale, but not sure how it will stand up over time. Bit difficult to attach as well - ended up using 5 minute epoxy to get it attached.
The tow cables - Trumpeter supplies copper cable. They don't hold paint well, and the rear attachment brackets are rather thin. Given the tension that the tow cables are under, there was no way they would hold. I ended up leaving the tow cables off. Next time, I would probably replace them with scratch built ones out of wire.
Paint on, and suffering from a case of oil dots....
And finally, done!
I replaced the unditching log with a dead branch donated from one of the lilacs - much easier to replicate a log using real wood as opposed to plastic!
Sorry for the photo quality - I'll try to get some better pics tomorrow when it is daylight.

@ dani - I'd never thought I'd use that term to describe an AFV - but that tankette is cute!
@ Byron - thanks for that! I hope you don't mind if I make a couple of suggestions: the worn white-wash suggests end of winter, beginning of the thaw, so you might want to add more mud to the bottom edges of the vehicle as well as the wheel-arches and the white-wash would be worn away most on the leading sharp edges and least in the recesses.
@ Grant - that ASU is one mean-looking beast! Really looking forward to some better pics of the finished model! Love the subtle weathering (something I'm going to have to practice - I'm better at heavier dirt at the moment)
@ Lap Man - the paint-job on your T-55 is stunning, sir! I can only hope that I'll live long enough to get that good!
It's been a pleasure campaigning with you guys!

The ASU-85 and the T-55 look great, that ASU is in my "have to get" list now, the T-55 is a long time member on that list.
Well! is not much as if it is a worn white-wash, but a hastily, carelessly applied winter scheme. it is all about interpretation, a friend of mine ask why I did not paint the AT rockets with the white wash also, I have to explain to him that they were disposable. and he is also a scale modeler!! it happens even in the best families
Happy Modeling
