Some nice building going on here, I reenlisted now that I fixed my a/b and aircompressor problem.
@ Sal: how many RUSKIE tanks do you have? I want to go with an Eastern Express KVI.

Nice work Sal, it's great to see you continuing to try new techniques out on your builds
It's hard to resist an SU-122 in whitewash, I still plan on building a representation of the one with the little trees on it

Thanks guys, and thanks for pointing out the headlamp Bruce, I'll take care of that today when it's dryer
@Bob, it's Bruce's technique, if I did it right. 2 light coats of hairspray 20 minuets apart. Then 20 minuets after the last coat I swabbed on white acrylic paint thinned a bit with some water

Here's what I have been working on: Zvezda's 1/35 T-72A
I have a little more weathering to do and I am waiting on some decals for a Russian tank, rather than the Chechn ones supplied.

Russo/Soviet armor has replaced my desire to build German kits. Down to arty and the red army. This build realy has me hooked. I added fuel lines using solder and plastic rod. I will post more photos tomorrow.

Here are the fuel lines:
Some of the issues I had with the Zvezda kit: barrel was bent; some parts broken; assembled sprockets too wide; track will not fit under fenders; link n length tracks did not fit together properly; locating holes for smoke launchers too big. According to the review I read, I should not have encountered any of these problems.

Ok guys I got some work done over the weekend but not much
put a white wash on the wheels and added the log that I found in the back yard
Added the extra treads and a antenna made of a piece of steel wire just need to finish up the tow cable for the left side that I started this morning
Now I ask you all should this beast be getting a dark wash before I shoot it with some dull coat and call it finished. Comments are always welcome

Hi guys,
thinking about joining up for this one. I'm thinking of building a bosnian T-55 / M-18 Hellcat Hybrid (see picture below), would this be accaptable for this campaign as it is not completely an eastern european tank?
Build would prolly consist of a academy hellcat turret which i have in my stash plus the lower part of a trumpeter t55, which arent that great according to reviews and comments i read, but i have seen them on sale at a local hobby shop for about 13 euros, so wouldn't mind experimenting with that a bit

G'day Remco !
That would be fine - it was used in Eastern Europe so it is good to go.
BTW: Polish Shermans are Ok too and they weren't even used in Eastern Europe, but they were manned by Poles, get the drift of the Campaign ?
Cheers and best wishes,
Paul

Just finishing another Campaign and get this beast on the workbench.
A couple of questions:
What green for the T-62 (Dark green ? Olive drab ?) any rattle cans with that paint?
Thanks again for a great campaign !!!

Hi all.
I finally decided, what kit I would build for this campaign. It´s UM´s 1/72 russian BA-3 armored car with railroad wheels. With previous experience of Unimodel kits, I may have my hands full of work.. Hopefully I´m wrong this time.

Hey guys ,
Great campain! I am building a T-34/76 model 1942 from dragon (box nr. 6479).
I dont know much about computers, so i have uploaded my photo's on my kitmaker photogallery. I have to figure out how to place them in this forum. Feel free to rate the pics.
I used 2 aber photoetch sets for T-34/85. they have the nice grill sets on the rear on the upper hull.
The upper hull has bin painted with Mr. Surfacer 1000 and the turret with Mr. surfacer 500 and sanded with some P-400 sanding paper.
The model is painted in the primer now... and i am waiting on my shipment with the 4-BO collor set...
Regards,
Remco

Hey guys,
I am making a T-34/76 model 1942 in Vyborg in Russia 1944.
The photo i use as reference shows that the tank misses its nr. 2 and 4 wheel.
Feel free to comment the photo.

I finally got my butt into to gear here is my efforts so far on the DML T80 with ERA.
With out making any excuses for the lack of accuracy my biggest complaint is that the upper and lower hull do not meet.

Hey Darren,
Looks very promising!
Can you fill out the upper deck with some Evergreen plastic cards?
Maybe it will fit nicer. Or a bit off putty with some sanding?
That ERA tile is looks very cool on those tanks.

Remco
