Thanks Kevin, Zon
I'm really enjoying working with Olive drab at the moment, and the subtle color variations you can get with different shades of that color on what would otherwise be a model with a single 'boring' color.
This model is my first using the Lifecolor Olive drab pack - it has 6 shades of Olive drab, including faded etc, and is excellent for post shading as well as doing highlights.
I recommend it !
Cheers

Fantastic work, Kevin and Paul. Great entries into the campaign. Your level of work is outstanding and really sets the bar high for the rest of us.
The main construction is now finished on my BTR-80. The Eduard PE sets really helped to add some detail and bring the kit close to todays standard.
Next is the painting. I am planning to paint the BTR-80 as a Ukranian BTR-80 in green/grey/black camouflage.
More to follow

Scott: Looks good.
Jesper: interesting camo scheme. the vehicle looks great.
I've clear coated my Greyhound, so hopefully I can get some decals this week and start weathering.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Appreciate it.
I have base coated the BTR-80 now in Testors grey primer, but it will not dry. Especially the rubber wheels are a problem. Maybe it is the Georgian summer humidity messing with the paint.

Sean, nice result.
Kevin, very nicely done!
Paul, excellent work on the vehicle and figures. Very nice shading!
My contribution is complete I need to make some final tweaks but for now I call it done. I hope you enjoy, it was a complex project but luckily I did not have major problems and I did enjoy this build very much.
Cheers

Beautiful build, Alexander1 The level of detail is great - especially considering the scale. Well done!
I have made a little more progress on my BTR-80. The basecoat is now on followed by the green. Next is the black and grey and then decals and weathering.
I still have a serious problem with the rubber tires. I have tried basecoating them with two different paints, but they will not dry. I might have to clean them in white spirit and start again. Alternatively apply weathering directly to the rubber tires.
More to follow.

P.A.: super awesome!!!
Jesper: I've had luck base coating vinyl tires with Model Master clear flat acryl, but that was over the raw vinyl, so I'm not sure if it would work over your other coats, particularly if they are not drying. Also, did you wash the tires before painting? They also have a form release, like the sprues, that needs to be cleaned off. Sorry I can't be more helpful to your immediate problem. The BTR is looking great though.

Aloha All:
Some progress on the Greyhound. Applied the clear coats and the decals. Will let the MicroSol dry overnight and put another clear coat on before adding washes. I might not get to weathering as I leave for vacation next week and the campaign ends while I'm away.

Impressive work all. Looks like a flurry of activity is going on. About 1/2 a month left before the campaign ends. If you have not yet put your photos in the gallery please do so.

Thanks for the tips, Zon. I did not wash the tires - I will remember that with the Dragon BTR-70 in my stash.
The tires are turning out to be a real problem, but I hope my weathering will make it look OK. The basic camouflage is on and I am quite satisfied so far. Just hope the tires do not ruin the model.
Plan to finish this model over the weekend.

Some more progress on my BTR-80. It is almost finished now. I applied a heavy coat of washes and pastels as the coat of varnish will make 75% of it disappear.
Next is a few finished touches and the final coat of varnish and I am calling this one done.
