Heres my entry guys, old Monogram kit Sd.Kfz 232 in 1/32 scale built straight from the box. Sorry for the crappy photography but I tried both with and without the flash on the camera with a tripod even, and the pics still dont give proper justice on the models true finish
Had fun in the campaign and I hope everyone else is enjoying their build

Yufkey, Sean and Rei,
Cool looking kits. Make sure as you complete them you post a couple pictures into the campaign gallery.
I am getting jealous of everyone completing their kits. I am far behind schedule.

Rei: very nice build. What's the back story on the white Balkenkruez?
Yufkey: The M117 is coming along nicely.
I've made some progress on my M8 Greyhound:
Should start paint soon.

Trumpeter LAV III TUA complete!
Just took a quick pic on the way out this morning with the phone:
Will take better shots with the camera in the next day or two.
The dusting is a bit too heavy. Tried to do it heavy at the bottom and lighter the higher up the vehicle I went but didn't work as planned. Ended up going quite heavy all over.
Also, left off the tiny PE to hold the tow-wire on the left hand side. Instead just have it attached to the "U" attachments at the rear, draped down one side, around the light guards and across the engine compartment then back down the other side..
No additional stowage added....I may yey.

Thanks Zon
To be honest I dont really know why this model only came with a plain white Balkenkruez which is intended for the Polish campaign gray colored vehicle, because it did had the regular black and white cross decal for the Afrika Korps version. My guess is the white was a real early Balkenkruez pattern ?
Thanks Zon

just to help out here is a ribbon design for the campaign:
it's an rgb jpeg so if you would like to use it just grab it from here. no hurt feelings if it's not used, just trying to lend a hand.
cheers, bd.

Bruce,
Thanks for the ribbon design. I asked a few times earlier for some help. My designed always ened up looking like the Wheels campaign in the past.

Getting there, almost done. Just need to add a little detail. really enjoyed building this kit. The interior was fun. I airbrushed the model with Testors Military Master Acrylic, and weathered with oils, Mig Washes and powders. Had a slight issue with decals, they cracked after the first coat of dull coat, but after a little reading, I found out that these were applied as a sticker, so should not be too bad.

Kevin, Cool build. I like those pictures of the interior.
Yufkey, There apparently has been some modifications to security at my work. I can not see your pictures. I will need to look at them from home.

I've been lurking here on Armorama for a while but this is my first campaign. After a 20+ year absence from the hobby, the increase of Canadian subjects has got me involved again.
My entry in this campaign is Trumpeter's Cougar AVGP.

First Trumpter Kit, I am impressed and is going together well. Not that fussed in the suspension makeup though.

Hello, I am glad to join this campaign with my model which is Hasegawa's sdkfz 234/1 in 1/72 scale.
I will also be using the excellent CMK Tatra 103 engine set, a PE set from PART and a barrel replacement from Schatton Modelbau in a build that sometime in the future will finalize as a field garage diorama.
More soon P.A.

Yufkey: you are slaying that thing! Looks great. The chipping and weathering seem a good amount (i.e, not too much).
Les: welcome back to the hobby. interesting vehicle. I look forward to seeing how it builds up.
Thomo: looking forward to your take on this vehicle.
PA: how do you see the parts? LOL. good looking set of kits.

Well, I had a great build (for me) going and then had a disastarous attempt at replicating a white UN paint scheme. I am now spending my time with a rag and paint thinner trying to salvage my model.
I used tamiya acrylics over a light grey "rattle can" primer and got a lot of cracks in the finish. So now I'm back to square one. Any hints on airbrushing white acrylics?
Thanks.

Hello Les,
Cracked paint maybe means that the undercoat (primer) hasn't fully cured.
Else there is a problem with the thinner you used. Perhaps using Tamiya's thinner will solve your problem.
In Greece it's common practise to use Ajax for windows to thin Tamiya paints, if you have that use it. And please, do a test first.
Good luck, P.A.

Les: I share your pain. the easiest way to get tamiya acrylic off is to soak the whole model overnight in Windex window cleaner. For the primer, I'm currently soaking a primer mis-fire in automotive brake fluid, but I just put it in this morning, so I'm not sure how it will work out.
Good luck. -zon
