Nice job guys. Sure looks like a lot of you have gotten to or close to the finish line.
I'm close myself with my DML M7 Priest, but between work and family, I haven't had any real modeling time in the last few weeks. Have to make a concerted effort to finish up the last few details, final wash, then a flat coat. Sure hope to finish by the end of the month.

A very late entry. I should be able to churn out Dragon's M1A2 Abrams SEP in a couple of days. Already have three days work into it and have started to primer some of the assemblies. I may do a TUSK conversion after the campaign, just so I can do the slat armor.

I'm really late diving into my build, and really I didn't think it stood a chance, but maybe this long holiday weekend will save my chances for a ribbon.
last weekend I started the AFV club M3A3. Here is where my build stood as of monday morning earlier this week:
Today I managed to get almost all the plastic bits on and spayed it olive drab, but no good light left to take a picture of today's progress. I'll likely go with the free french markings supplied in the kit.
the build is almost completely OOTB excpet some minor additions using thin strip plastic. There are a few bits calling out for re-working, but I am sort of releived to not have time for that...
Looks like most my plans for this weekend have fallen thru due to an ill girlfriend, so maybe I'll get this one done on time. wish me luck!

Here are some progress photos. I've sanded down the putty, puttied another area and added some details since I took these. I've also started working on the cupola.
Sorry, I don't follow the instructions to the letter. I rather build what I feel needs to be done first. Roadwheels and tracks are always the last thing I do. Hopefully, I'll get to the turret tomorrow.

Vance, really nice start on the AFC M3A3. Looking forward to your completed model. I've got the AFV M5A1 that I'm planning on building for the up coming Light Armor campaign.

thanks for the encouragement, Joel!
yesterday's progress:
.
today I got the decals on, flat-coated everything, and got a grunge wash on and scrubbed off:
sorry this last one is slightly blurry - the evening light wasn't that great.
I wanted to do the other french markings from the box, but the decals were too large! actually, i have to say the AFV Club decals were not that fantastic. I had to hit them with a LOT of solva-set to get them to behave, at which point they got really fragile. I managed to get it done though.

Almost didn't get it done. Here are some pictures of myTamiya M551 Sheridan tank. Figures are from the parts box along with the accessories. It is painted in Model Masters Enamel paints.
I will post a couple in the campaign gallery also. As always all comments welcome.

Tom - very nice looking model. My 2 cents would be to add some washes (black or dirt color) around the wheel nuts. I like the figure and gear arrangement too. Cheers

Vance, the M3A3 looks fantastic with the decals on. Thanks for the heads up about the AFV decals. I guess I've been spoiled with the great decals that come in the DML kits by Cartograph. At least I'll be prepared for them when I build the AFV M5A1 for the Light Armor campaign later next year.

Tom, super build on the M551 Sheridan. I do agree with Greg that a few weathering washes would really bring the M551 to life, and give it that POP.

Hi gang,
Here's my M60A1 (the Academy copy of the Tamiya kit...), ready for inspection somewhere in Iraq. I had fun painting it (green, then tan, then more green sponged on to get that "chipped camo" look, and lots of dirt washes), and had hoped to bury the turret in soft stowage, but ran out of time for tissues and PVA glue. Still, to borrow a phrase from Dave Grohl, it's "done, done, and on to the next one"!
...here's my "patented" track-painting jig! Used to be a shelf, before it met a saw.
Thanks for the great campaign!

Tom, your M60A1 came out great. The weathering looks tremendous. It certainly has what I call that used but not abused look.
Nice little track painting jig.

Nice work there Roman!
Well my entry is complete and hopefully I have been able to upload some pics to the campaign gallery. Just wish I could take some decent pics, it doesn't look as glossy to the naked eye. Anyway, here you go, please take it easy on me...
Cheers,
Nick.

Lap - very nice beast!
Tom - love the desert scheme. Congrats on finishing
Roman - good beat up weathering. Congrats on the finish
Nick - Congrats and overall very good. Just the rubber wheels need some black or grey on them, especially the ones on the front. I see your commander hatch had a mishap or waiting for a future figure maybe. Decals came out real nice too.
Scott - Thanks again for running the campaign so well
