Thanks Stan.
David: Pink Panther is looking good.
The finished turret. I misplaced the spotlight and it's fitting so made new one and added copper wire for the cable, replaced kit barrel with a spare dragon barrel, added coaxial mg and drilled it out. Had to replace all the lift rings with plastic card as some of the kit ones were missing and the rest broke off. The gunners rear hatch was heavily molded over the rear of the turret and there was no aerial mount there so reposistioned the hatch and added the aerial mount from scrap plastic as well as one behing the commanders hatch.
Milicast 1:76 A30 Challenger primed and ready for first coat of paint.
Cheers,
Tim

Hi folks,
Some grand work going on here. I'm barely off the starting block and unlikely to finish but this is where I'm at at the moment.
I'll see how much I get done by Christams!
Cheers
Al

My first time joining a campaign here...
coincidently i was building this for my local Group Build and i thought i joined in the fun in here as well...
Just finished this last weekend and hopefully this is acceptable since i'm still learning to build a proper armor...
a WIP can be viewed in my blog kuman BLOG

Still hoping to come in under the wire with this one. Unfortunately, the Friul tracks don't speed it up any.

Hello all,
Back again after a bit of a lay off. I finished the basic build back in October, but then decided it was a bit plain. After contemplating for a while I decided against the extra effort of crew figures and went for a bit of stowage instead. So, this is where I was up to a week or so ago, just before priming. Last weekend was base coating and this weekend I’ve done some highlighting and just attempted a clear coat of Klear (Future).
This is the first time I’ve tried Klear through the air brush and I found it had a habit of clogging up and drying on the end of the needle. The finish is not that smooth either and feels like its drying before hitting the model. I thought you could thin Klear with IPA, but when I added a little it seemed to turn milky. Anyone else have similar problems using Klear/Future through an airbrush ?
More later in the week I hope, as time will start to get very short soon
All the best to everyone still finishing.
Chris

The "British Armour" campaign doesn't end until the 31st. If you still can't get it done, there is the upcoming "Get 'Em Done 3" campaign.

Here are some more updates moving on towards the finished model.
These last two depict the almost finished model. I just need to add a few of the details and the weathering before I am done.
Decals applied. Check out my attempt at color modulation (I primed with orange, and then went light in certain areas.). Also, I painted some parts with Model Master Enamels (Tan) by hand, and then airbrushed the rest. Also, I went a little heavy with drybrushing on the gas tank. I hope that when I finish the weathering, this won't be so obvious.
I did some weathering and added the accessories, but I don't seem to have pictures at the moment (I am on holiday and not at home...)
But I will upload my final pictures to the gallery before the 31st when the campaign ends.

Finished. Sorry about the lighting, it's a new camera, and apparently I haven't got the hang of the flash options yet.
Edit: Is there a problem with the photo gallery? I can't get in to post my photo in the campaign gallery.

Yes, there is. I've been trying to get into the photo gallery all today and haven't made it in yet. There will be some allowance as far as campaigns ending and people not able to post their final build picture in the campaign gallery.
