Winter warriors are done Russian assault infantry installed on the back of the T34. These will now go towards a small dio for the Urban warfare campaigne with two more figures along side and climbing through the hole in the factory wall

Scott; some fantastic work with your PE would be HELL not Heaven for me

Hi all,

@Bruce: Thanks for the advice, tried it out but with almost no success. But I am almost completely out of white paint! Again your figures are beautifully done!
@Mecanix: Your scratch building skills are truly incredible!! Can’t wait to see your tank painted and finished!
@ Warren: That is a nice paint job, what technique did you use to give it that frosty look?
@ Scott: I can imagine how annoying that PE kit is, I find it annoying when it is in 1/35th scale!
@Keith: That is a nice tank, looking forward to see your diorama!

This is my (slow) progress, I have finished painting all the faces and finished three out of four figures. All that’s left is some minor weathering and the base.
Gave the third guy some stubble (my first attempt), but his hat was irritating!

Regards,
warreni

Hi Vlad.

First I painted the base coat then mixed up some Flat white paint and randomly sprayed it over the tank... Came out pretty well for a first try I thought..

Cheers

Thanks Warren for the reply!
Hi all,
I guess I can say this set is finished !! It is an old set but I must say it is very fun to build, though I had a few problems I think it turned out well enough. I have no more matt white paint (only gloss) so I can’t build the second set. I was going to place them in a snow/ice bunker and an adjourning trench system!
Will these two be enough to get a ribbon, it will be my entry for now, but since there is time until the campaign ends I might build the bunker diorama (if I get some paint).

This was really fun; I thought I would never build this set, thanks for the campaign. Any advice and any comment’s are welcome!

Looking forward to all your finished works!

Hi guys,
I needed to join a campaign to get myself back into the swing of things. I have a few days of work so I might just smash it out. At the moment I plan to use a T34, Kettenkrad and a AA gun. What have you fellas been using for the snow?

Hi everyone! I decided to join this campaign. I never did a proper winter camo, so this is a sort of a training for me. I decided to use the 1/35 Marder III from Tamiya. It is a nice kit and as far as I know the best out there for this vehicle. The decision to use this one was simply because I was able to fit it into my bag as I started the work on it in a hotel room. Something I would not be able to do with a huge Dragon box

Remearmr there are lots of products out there for using as snow I prefer to use a model railway item from Model Sceinics, called sceniic snow ? . It is just a fine white powder, Used it with my T34 and figures in Urban warfare campaign

Mixed the powder with a matt varnish and spead it on to base using a flat wide brush then stippled it until I got right effect then pressed tank down on to it for trak marks then painted track marks to make dirty

Thanks mate , I will give it a try. I like the storage tank you made, looks really good.
Built the Kettenkrad today and about to start on the Flak gun. Hopefully I will get all the building done before the weekend.

Nice storage box Naseby..

And to everyone, keep up the hard graft. It is always worth it in the end, even if it is just so you can start a new build.

@Warreni: For some reason I started both my last builts in a hotel rooms. Its starting to bee a normal thing.

At home I made some more progress but I have to admitt that im slower in putting the pictures in here. The hull is nearly finished, now its time to tackle to gun. So far no problems at all. The best kit so far this Year.

Here are the pictures of the latest progress. The soviet made gun on this tank destroyer is realy huge and gives the vehicle a strange but interesting look.

Come on Guys, lets see some more pictures. I feel like a freak with so many pictures added lately, I need some covering fire

The raw build is done and the first coat of Panzergrau is on. I made a mix of dark grey and blue. I also decided I will try to make a crew for this one. I never done 1/35 figures before so this will be an experiment. I took two winter clothed SPG crewman from the 1/35 Wespe kit.
