Those of us in the US still have several hours to go, but consider the campaign officially launched Down Under!

vonHengest,

So is it okay to build the Rommel Rod? I have one in my hands.

Not this time Bryan. As cool as that kit is, this campaign is intended to focus on vehicles and artillery that were actually used under Rommel's command in Africa and I will continue to run it per Noel's original wishes.

Just a reminder to everyone, don't forget:

8) You must post 1 photo of the model parts / box before starting, at least one photo of work in progress and finally at least 1 photo of the finished article. If you are tackling a lesser know subject it would be great to see a photo of the prototype too.

So let's see those unstarted kits!

Hello Everyone:

Here is my starting picture of my project. It is a Tamiya kit that looks fairly straightfoward, especially compared to the Puma I did a couple of years ago.I have a Monroe-Perdu base I might use,but no promise on that one.Looking foward to seeing lots a good work here.

Hi everyone;

I have taken photos of my projects but am unable to download due to my Best Buy loaner not having the photo edit feature. I should be getting my computer back from repair soon.

I will be doing the Cyber-hobby German 3t 4x2 Truck (Blitz) smart kit first., Looks straight forward, very good detail. c Stil waiting for the load goodies.

It is here at last. I started my Tamiya M13/40 but I am having trouble with the Armorama website not posting photos but the websites automate email notification of campaign posts. Any way I started and will post some photos later.

@ Darek: would you give us a run down on the pros and cons of that kit. It looks nice but, I have not personally seen it.

@ Anthony: the plastic of your Sd.Kfz. 232 is the same as my M23/40

Here's my first entry for the campaign:

As you can see, it's got Herr Rommel, a little command post and a couple of figures. I am using a STOCK Kubelwagen kit (35213) and subbing in the Verlinden balloon tires.

I also have the old Italeri M40-75/18 (Italeri kit #214) that I may, and I stress MAY add to the build. This one will be quick as I'm moving the last week of April and need some time to set up my new man-cave/home office.

Darek: Awesome, I've always wanted to build one of those and am looking forward to seeing yours come together

Anthony: That should be a very straightforward kit, which Monroe Perdu base are you considering?

Matt: Great choice, we can never have enough Kubelwagens

Steve, Ralph, and Bob: Don't sweat it guys, just keep taking pictures along the way so that you have what you need when you are able to finally upload pictures

Jeremy, I am able to upload photos. My problem is the automatic email notification that is sent each time someone posts is not working in my case.

I am guessing that you are referring to the notifications from threads you have subscribed to? If so, I am not sure what to do about that.

Hey guys,
Looks like there are going to be lots of good looking kits going on here and I would love to join the fun except my African Tiger still has yet to arrive. I think it's on the Pony Non-express Well if it don't get here soon I will have to find something else in the stash

Bob: I was hoping that would happen, glad things are working now

Anthony: You have a cool build either way, may be the only one of those we see in this campaign

Sal: You still have plenty of time bud, this is a ten month campaign. If your DAK Tiger doesn't come in by then, we're going to have to have a word or two with the delivery carrier

Yeah can't help that its where I was born, still have at least 3 years here till my daughter finishes high school. Im ready to go to Arizona but the ball and chain wants to stay in the north east

As far as the deliveries go the other half of the trade I made was in the hospital and very sick resulting in me being very patient

Sal I moved to Vegas for one reason only, the weather.

Here's the kit.

Here's where I'm at as of today.

These old DML kits reboxed with add ons are quite a bargain. Fit can be problematic, as are the instructions.

It can be built though!
