Thanks Gary. Resizing the images fixed the problem.

A little more progress on my Luchs. The main construction is now finished with exception of antennas and some smaller details.
More to follow soon.

A little more progress.
The base coat is on. I used the Vallejo dark yellow base coat. It works perfectly, but I think there is too much of a greenish tinge to the colour. Anyway, I will stick with it for now.
Next are the brown and green for the camouflage.

Jesper: good progress. I see what you mean on the greenish tint. on my screen it looks light green and not yellow at all. Hopefully it is more the lighting.
As for me, I've cleaned one side of the magic tracks (been gone all last week), so now I have to clean the other. Not worth a photo

Zon, it is more green than it should be. But there is also a big dicussion on the whether dark yellow where yellow or brown, or greenish etc. I was not there so I do not know
I have now finished my entry for this campaign. The 1/35 ICM Luchs. A great little kit with no major issues. Highly recommended.
It was fun to participate and I look forward to follow more entries before the end of the campaign.
Comments welcome.

Jesper: I hear you on that one. Who knows what color these things really were with fading and different batches, and all that. I'm typically relying on some Japanese / Chinese company trying to make a profit to research these things for me.
Anyway, in your final picks, the yellow comes through, so it's probably the lighting in the original photo, and/or my screen. It's a nice looking build and I like the weathering quite a bit. If I may ask, what was your specific process for the rain streaks?
Congrats on finishing.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
The weathering is several layers of thinned MiG oil paint and MiG pigments. The suspension gets a mud mixture, then several washes of MiG oil paints, MiG pigments, and MiG filters. I never use a sert formula, but goes on until I am satisfied with the result.
For the dusty superstructure with rain streaks I first give it a very thin wash with MiG oil paint. Leave it to dry completely. Then a slightly thinned mix of MiG oil paint with a lot of pigments mixed in. This is apllied, left for a couple of minutes and then removed carefully by brush with vertical streaks. This gives the rain streaked effect. If it looks overdone when the finish is completely dry then simply apply a spray coat of matt varnish. This will remove more than 50% of the effect of the pigments.
Hope this answers the question.

Sorry, relocating my household was a lot more complex than anticipated and I am just now building up the modelling space again that was packed in late August. Killed quite a few campaigns and timeplans for me.
Otoh I have 25m2 all for my hobbies now. Heated, large window, no carpet, no furniture with 20mm feet.

Sal;
Well.... 5 more days is all? Sorry but I guess it won't happen for me in anything like 5 days! Been way way too busy on the job and actually caught up in some other more-proximal model things, shows and the like, and so the ol' 223 project has languished. It's a great kit, but I just keep fiddlin' and pokin around with new details and what-not and she's nowheres near done! Now, if there was, say, an extension to maybe later DEC this year, I would be able to pull it together... ??? Please?
Otherwise I'm gonna have to go with some sort of "git r done" or "finish a shelfqueen" campaign to get it done and entered!

Oh, let the Campaign Lords be generous and forgiving, please!
If it'll help, just post some music for the appropriate extension dance and I'll get right to it!

Yippie!!! I've got about 2 weeks left to finish, so this helps bunches.
Thanks Matt!
And just to show I'm not totally slacking... Base paint applied, tracks assembled but still at the paint shop.

Thanks Matt,
I was having to rush the last bit of the 263 base and had not made much progress with the 250, but now everything is peachy.
All the best,
Paul

No problem guys. To be honest, I didn't want this campaign to flop due to time constraints.
@Zon-nice job. What color did you use for the base coat? And, that is exactly the same way I paint my road wheels. I just stick the other end of the toothpick into some wet foam.
