Tom, great work I love your diorama. Theres a lot of action going on in it!

I'm calling my entry done. So here it is the Airfix 1/72 Cessna O-1E Bird Dog FAC. Unfortunately Airfix do not give a unit for the aircraft, so I'm unable to provide that. I salvaged an extra pair of rocket tubes from the O-1 I built years ago to give it a little more teeth! I have seen pics on the web of an O-1 with a pair of LAU-3's but I thought that may be a bit too much! (if anyone wants to see it let me know and I'll post the link) I used fine fishing line tinted with a black marker pen for the aerials.
I have an Eduard PSP display base I intend to photograph it on just as soon as I can find it. When I do those pics will go on the campaign album rather than these on a boring white background.

Its been fun building this and I look forward to seeing everyone elses done.

It's so wonderful to see so many projects coming together recently, keep up the great work everyone!

Stephen: Your Cessna came together spectacularly! I was starting to worry for you a bit there, especially with the rear landing gear situation and the glazing. Well done!
And we'd love to see that photo

Mike: I can't say I was expecting to see one of those show up, but your timing is in many ways perfect with that particular howitzer. Get that beast on the workbench ASAP!

As for myself, I have recently lost a lot of workspace and won't be able to accommodate my B-57 build so I will be switching gears to small scale armor. More to come...

Stephen: Nice job on the Bird Dog. Looks great.

Mike: welcome to the party. I look forward to your build.

Cheers guys. It is a very delicate model to build. It would help a great deal if the tail wheel leg was a separate piece but you have to work with what you've got. Its now safely in a cabinet and with luck should remain in one piece for years to come. Its a shame Airfix don't reissue the O-2, I'd really love to have a crack at that one.

Jeremy, its a shame about the B-57 but post details when you can get back on track with it.

Sure thing Stephen, once time and space allow I'll be getting the B-57 back on the workbench and post a build log for it in Aeroscale.

As for now I'll be building Trumpeter's 1/72 M113ACAV Armored Car. It looks to be a sweet little kit.

Cheers Rob.

Tom: Yes, there is a maximum limit on photos in your KitMaker photo album. It increases substantially when you become a KitMaker subscriber.

I couldn't get to you sooner as our router died last night and I have very limited internet access for the moment.

Rob: nice work on the wheels.

Well, as my build time has been severly limited as of late, I will change from the Ontos to this braille bucket:

This will be OOTB with no frills, although I might leave the interior exposed to view.

Zon, I'll be building the same kit OOB as well. Let me know what marking option you're going to use and I'll use the other one. I'll try to get my build going soon so we can build both of ours at the same time.

Jeremy: Cool! From the decals it looks like there are three marking sets but the instructions only cover the one on the box. I don't really like the roadrunner / chicken from the box, so I will probably mix the others, picking what I like without worrying about accuracy. I'll let you know more for sure as we get closer. I won't start this until I finish What If.

Hello there,

It's seems that the campaign rhythm is getting slow...I'll try to fix that. Despite a very busy life, I succeeded in spending some time during the week end on my work bench in order to finish a project before starting another (new policy I tried to apply).
I've made some progress on the base which is basically finished. All the stuff is natural, coming from hiking in the woods and seasoning herbs and plants. The last step is the building which needs to receive some green shades.
All comments, critics, rants, welcomed. You can find also in progress pictures on my blog.

Best,
Julien

Zon: Sounds like a plan! I need to get my What If? build finished up as well

Julien: I'm loving your groundwork! Have you ever considered writing a series of tutorials on creating realistic vegetation?

Rob: Don't be shy, post some more photos!

Jeremy,
I have been trying to since last night, looks like I will have to wait till the server move is done.

I have finished both runs of track and will start painting them soon.

Cheers Rob.

Hi campaigners,

Finally the vignette is finished. I'm not very happy with the building painting, especially the green shades, but I couldn't afford to spend more than a century on this piece. It has been a lot of fun in painting, scratch buiding and also searching for long hours some small scale natural plants in the wood (despite my SWMBO cracked a thousands jokes on me during my quest).
I must admit that the foliage took me most of the time, because it's really hard to replicate convincingly a natural look, mostly when your small stuff dry and lose its original color.
Jeremy, yes, why not creating a tuto for our fellow on how to replicate mother nature. I just need to find some time to do it (which become more and more a luxury for me).

I hope my fellow campaigners will finish in time their pieces, so that we'll have a nice collection of model from different areas.

Best,
Julien

Julien: I think it looks great, but you may be seeing something that is hidden by the camera's limitations. The extra time and suffering (from her jokes ) really payed off!
The tutorial is just a suggestion, but we would certainly enjoy seeing one if you have the time

Another great piece of work from you, Julien. It is amazing what you can do with the small viginettes. Well done!

I have made a little more progress on my F-4J. The main colors are now on. Next is a gloss coat and some decals.
