Ok,
Tried some different washes and it's looking better.
Cheers Rob.

First chance I've had to check in for a while.
Some really cool builds going on. I'm interested to see how the patrol boat and the little vignette with the small car turn out. I will admit to never having seen the photo that will be based on, so if anyone can provide a link that would be great.
I have recently dug up my old Eduard PSP display base (for some reason I'd stashed it in a Revell Y-Wing kit box?) and with the great weather we're having at the minute I plan to take a few good pics of my Cessna on it.

Phew! Completed a campaign-- it's been dicey lately-- one out of three.
I'm happy with my own result though...
Thanks for hosting, Jeremy, and again, good luck in finals!
See you all in the next campaign.

That looks Great Sean!

Cheers Rob.

Sean: Your tree base turned out really well!
Alex: I had a good laugh when I saw your vignette, made my day
I'm looking forward to getting a chance to go back and really look through everything from the past week or so. Keep working hard guys and get those builds finished!

Cool builds.
Great work on the Bronco Sean. It really does look like its zooming low through the trees. I may have to get me one of those now.
Alex, I love your little diorama. Awful lot of little details in there. Anyone else spot the little lizard?
As promised heres some pics of my O-1 on its little display base. The base could probably so with a little weathering and some figures on it though. Maybe at a later date.
Been a great campaign and looking forward to seeing all the models finished.

Sean: great display for your Bronco and nice work on it all.
Alex: Awesome!!! I love your vignette. What (who's) plants did you use and where did you get the Gecko?
John: pics are a bit blurry but the bunker looks good.
Stephen: A good base for the Bird Dog. You should definitely add some stuff like fire extinguishers and other airfield junk.
Happy Modeling, -zon

Cheers Zon. It does need a few extras but for the purposes of the build I'm calling it done. Got a couple of other campaigns ending soon that need my urgent attention. I had originally bought and painted the base years ago to do a Tyhoon or something on a rough airstrip in the middle of france. But other things came up. Best laid plans and all that.
While I'm thinking about it, wheres the campaign gallery?

Stephen: I understand completely. Congrats on finishing for now!!
Here is the URL for the gallery. Not sure if it will work as a link, as I'm barely able to get my photos in here, but if it doesn't work, click on the Photos bar above, then click on campaigns, then currently active campaigns. The Vietnam gallery is under there somewhere.

I've managed to paint the interior for my M-113. I'm not sure it is the correct color, but it's as close as I've got. The instructions listed at least three different greys for the interior??

Hello Fellow Campaigners!
Sharing with the Group the completion of my 1/72 NVA T-54 (Quang Trung 729)...
1) Used Khaki Green as base coat:
2) Applied the NVA decals from my ACE T-54 (I built this model using the Trumpeter kit):
I had a struggle with the ACE decals as they were shattering into pieces as I lifted them out from the paper backing...somehow managed to get 'em in place.
3) Started weathering the model using water color paint pigments:
I realized I needed to tone down the mud effect and make the mud more reddish.
4) Finally completed my GB entry!
The rest of the model's photo shot has been uploaded into this GB's gallery:

So many cool builds here, it really fires up the imagination. From my end, I finally figured out how to upload photos, so my Dragon/Panda Huey is now up in the gallery. Now let's see if I'm smart enough to put it on the forum page.

Looking Good guys!
I applied the flat coat and it didn't go so well had to remix the flat and shoot it again, better but not perfect got some white frosting in the first coat and after the second there is still some traces. Will live with it.
Cheers Rob.
PS pic is a little dark.

Some progress, I have. Unfortunately, an accident made primer spray painting of interior details failure.
