Completed the South Vietnamese Navy STCAN Patrol Boat. The crew took a few attempts to paint. I would have liked to have done better facial features;; but this is 1/48 scale. The boat is weathered with drybrush and chalk. Paint is discount store spray can, brush Model Master, old Pactra, and Testors. The anchor is a wire replacement, the plastic one was too fragile. The National flag is yellow tissue paper and the pole is a Christmas ornament hook. This is my second kit after a long period out of the hobby.
Now I have to figure out how to load this picture to the SEA Campaign photo album.

Cool looking models.
The T-34 is great Rob. I like the weathering, its very subtle. It can be overdone very easily but thats just right.
Brent, your patrol boat is pretty good. Little extras like the flag and wear and tear bring it to life. I wouldn't worry too much about the figures, they can be tricky at smaller scales and especially older figures which often have very soft detail. Just keep building and painting, and don't forget to post what you do.
Heres a link to the campaign gallery: https://gallery.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php?cat=26822
It would be great to see that kit back on the shelves. I think it has a lot of potential for further detailing and with 1:48 Armour becoming more popular, I'm sure it would be a hit. I know I would get one.

Thanks Stephen!
Well I spoke too soon, it's not quite done. When uploading the photos to the Gallery I noticed I had not put the headlight lens or the spare track on and it need a tow rope.
The lens is done came out really good and am painting the spare tracks at the moment.
Cheers Rob.

Here is a pic of some speaker wire being used for the tow rope and the final two photos I'll be putting in the gallery.
Cheers Rob.

When I go to the Campaign Gallery, I have the my photos my albums my favorites line at the top. When I click on upload photos I end up reloading photos from my computer to my photos section again. How can I link to the gallery to upload photos?

John: I'm really enjoying watching the progression of your vignette and I love the feel of it, very representative of the time!
Sean: That was awesome to watch! It had to be a blast for you! I'm trying to figure out what would be a good choice for me to try that out...
Brent: Understood, and I love the river boats of any kind, great choice for this campaign! It looks like you had more fun with this build than your previous one?
Lap Man: Those old Soviet trucks are great looking vehicles even without the added interest of an SA-2. I would build a convoy of them if I had the room
Zon: I won't tell if you don't Just post photos in the gallery hiding that side I don't know about the gray colors for the interior, but I would just plan on placing a commander and a couple of gunners in the open hatches. That's what I'm going to do with mine.
Burak: Great now we will have three of them in the campaign! As I told Zon, just let a little detail on the interior show, and place some figures in the commander and gunner positions.
Roman: That is awesome! I was waiting to see that!
Rob: That old beast came out great! I really dig the star as I've said before. Nice job catching those sneaky details!
Alex: Again, I can't tell you how fun that vignette is
Stephen: Well done! For all the problems you had, I'd never be able to point them out.
Marcos: A bit heavily weathered for my taste, but definitely a cool build!
Hal: It's great to have your Huey in the gallery now, and I really like the way you posed the figures!

Thanks, Jeremy. I like those figures but I have not. It will not be problem with limited detail. A little adjustment in the interior is enough. I will finish it and send photos at the weekend.

Rob: looking awesome. Seems just right to me!!
Brent: Your boat looks good. I just scored one of those off eBay and am thinking of mucking it up for the next zombie hunting campaign. My figs have big sink holes though.
Jeremy: Mum's the word!!! As for the interior, I don't have any figures this scale, so I'll just leave it open and take my lumps. The "grey" I used is kind of a dark sea foam green, so it might not be off the real thing, but deffinitely not per the instructions.
eMan: the SA-2 looks great. I really like the color variations. Good job.
Happy Modeling, -zon

Lap Man,
That looks Great!
Zon,
Thanks! I had some issues when it came to weathering but luckily nothing serious.
Cheers Rob.

Lap Man: Outstanding! The weathering feels spot on
Burak: You can always add figures later, and congrats on finishing! Just a quick thought, in the future you may want to try a more opaque "mud" for weathering.
Zon: Seafoam green? Well dab some aluminum/silver on the tread plate where the large access panel is going to be open, and do a quick wash of dark red and it should compensate pretty well with the lighting. I'm going to leave everything open except the rear door as well, and just pick up some figures when I have a chance.

Sal: Yes, almost as soon as I brought the idea up for this campaign Iain Hamilton of AK Interactive USA and Vladimir Demchenko of BRAVO 6 offered to sponsor us with prizes for a photo contest (check the first page of the campaign thread). It's a bit unusual to say the least shows the enthusiasm for the Vietnam conflict from both sides of the modeling world
What we will end up having are three categories as follows:
Best of Show- sponsored by BRAVO 6
Best Ground/Water Forces- sponsored by AK Interactive USA
Best Air Forces- sponsored by myself
The voting will be open to everyone
