Thanks guys, I enjoyed seeing everyone's work throughout this campaign! I think it will be hard to vote as well because so many put forth such an outstanding effort!

I can put another plan in the works, but are you sure you want a Vietnam II campaign?

Jeremy,
I only threw out the proposal of a Vietnam II as a lark. But it really does have merit. Take a look at the number of posts. models, and interest that was kept up throughout this campaign, very impressive. You did a tremendous job, and we thank you. I definitely feel a sequal campaign would be another success, for whatever reason, Vietnam is a popular subject now ( AS I remember, in 1968 it sure wasn't !)

At any rate, Great Job, I'll be watching for the future campaigns. Semper Fi......Bruce

Hi all,

It's been a very enjoyable campaign with a great amount of models, from various field, and with high quality rendering. I loved having participated to it. All the campaign should look like this one

All the best, and I'm in for another tour in Vietnam II !

Best,
Julien

Thanks again fellas, and points taken It's taking a little longer to get everything put together but I should have everything collected later this week. Awards will start showing up in your profiles today. Once I'm done with everything I'll put together a proposal for a follow up campaign for next year.

Happy Modeling!

Aloha,

OK, I know this campaign ended, but I am determined to finish it anyway. Here's where I am as of a couple weeks ago:

I wasn't able to go further at the time as I misplaced the decals. However, today I found them, along with the road wheel that I was sure the garbage disposal ate. So now I can paint the road wheel and put it on, then finish the rest. Hopefully during this week.

Happy Modeling, -zon

given the amount of works presented in this competition, it would be nice to make a feature of it, although I don't know if it's very common to do so for campaign..

Yes, working on the write up and the feature will be set to go live. Having connection troubles among other things, so please bear with me just a little longer.

Hello All,

I finally was able to get an internet connection over here in Afghanistan that actually allowed me to view all of the pictures. There are so many excellent models that were a part of this campaign. As a modeler of primarily Vietnam related subjects, it was great to see all of the interest and the wide variety of projects that were a part of this campaign. It really ran the spectrum of various stages of the conflict as well as encompasing the war on land, in the water, and in the air. I think that everyone that participated did an excellent job!

I would like to participate in another Vietnam campaign. I brought a sculpting kit and some figure parts with me for conversions. I plan on having some figures posed and ready for painting for when I return to the States in May of 2013. I have a pretty good diorama planned for next year.

Take care and have a great day.
James
