Did you see photos of built up Airfix Land Rovers from Nuremberg Toy Fair 2012?

For now I'm dissapointed. Looks like soft details and poor fit.
Maybe final kits will be better... We'll see...

All,
Just wondering if anyone has or knows of any scale drawings for the 4-cyl LR engine. Have been searching numerous books and spent heaps of time on the interweb but found zip.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as my intended campaign build has an exposed engine and the Italeri 1/24th kit has no engine .

I actually think they look pretty good for 1/48 scale. Can't wait for the Jackal & Coyote

Will be good to get my hands on the Lightweight again, but I will have to make sure I get the DROPS done for Perth show first !!!!!!! Priorities !!!!!!!
Working with two projects on the same table would not work !!!!!!! Might kick the campaign off with a day of fresh work on the Landy then kick back to the DROPS !!!!!!
Only a few more days !!!!!!

Not long now, so who is getting exited?
I was asked a while ago to crack open the box of the RSOV and totally forgot so here are some pic's of the RSOV sprues.
It looks like Black Dog have a new detailing set coming for the RSOV It has the correct seats and a few packs and things in it
I can't wait to start another one for the collection.
Oh and it is starting to be like the spares store here now

Well I am looking forward to getting my hands on the lightweight again as it has been a long time !!!!!!!
In the meantime, I have become owner of two additional Landies that I could choose from, being a 1/35 101 forward control by Firing Line and a 1/24 series 2 short wheel base by Monogram !!!!!!
I need to check out how many I have now in the shed to build. Better still, I need to get them out and get a production line going I think !!!!

Hi Scott - nice collection ! stupid leap year - we could have started today
here are some pics of the AA upgrade set -
etch fret -
some rod, wire and a carbon aerial
3 bags of resin
bag 1 -
bag 2 -
bag 3 -
well its typical AA stuff - not so crisp and a lot of flash to clean off. Also as usual you have a few broken bits - its brittle resin and its packed loose in the bags. In any case its going to be a fun build and should really improve the base kit.
cheers

Well I ordered 2 Land rover kits from Lucky Models, The SAS Pink panther arrived but the other 1 is still on back-order, so I guess it will be the Pink Panther, only problem now is that I have 4 other campaign build in various different stages on the bench right now and I need to clear some off

Hi Ian
I got permission to bring my Lightweight to the table in the campaign. I have been keeping myself otherwise occupied to save me fettling plastic for the Landy.
Having see the kits you have and having one in the stash to work on some time too, I can understand how hard it is to keep from getting stuck into the build.
I am going to put a couple of my pics up to show where the Lightweight was when I last worked on it so folks get an idea of what I still have to do !!!!!!!
But won't restart until tomorrow !!!!!!!!!! Promise !!!!!!!!
Looking forward to tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!

I've enlisted. I'm going for a Lithuanian special forces Land Rover, but may also try and do a series 1 Minerva using the remains of an Italeri pink panther.

Hi guys, I've just enlisted and I'll be building the Hobby Boss Land Rover Wolf W.M.I.K with a bucket load of Legend upgrade sets for it.
The resin is about two weeks away so I'll post some pics when it arrives.
