Work on the Landy ambulance has ceased since late april as I have had too much going on. Hoping to pick it back up this weekend. Will post some pics then. Cheers.

Hay gang I must apologize for my absence, real life, other commitments and a few build commissions have been keeping me out of the loop.
It looks like you guys have been busy, some sterling work going on I will get caught up with all your builds over the next few days.

Hi Scott, what "black" is that? It soesn't appear too dark...I picked up the RSOV a few days ago and was wondering how you achieved this colour.
Thanks

Mark really sorry to hear about your loss, family comes first so my thoughts are with you.
Simon nice work on your pinky, it is looking very good.
Sean the black is about 90% flat black and about 10% light gray.
I have got some work done on my landys, both are about 90% there now.

Have not taken any pics in a while but will get some up soon. Managed to get the "glass" put in into the rear area as well as the extra litter racks. The glass is masked off and ready to be painted the interior colour. My plan is to paint the racks first, then spray the interior colour once that is dry and masked. I think this should be the easiest way. The interior of the cab needs to be painted too and I am hoping to get it all done at once. We'll see. Cheers.

Hi all,
I wondered if anybody can help me with a minor problem. There I was this morning assembling some more of my 110 hard top and the tow hitch has managed to loose itself Anybody know where I can get a replcement, short of buying a second kit?
thanks in advance,
Paul

From what I can tell just glancing through some of the photos above the hitch is very similar to a Humvee hitch. I have some old Humvees I can pull one off if you want....may not be 100% accurate but close enough I'd think. I'll take a pic of a Humvee & Landrover hitch together tonight and let you decide.
You do know that as soon as you get a replacement the original will show up? ;-)

Managed to get some work done today on the ambulance, although did not manage to get any pictures before I needed to head out to a BBQ. Here's the recap,
Managed to do some light dry rushing in the cab interior. Got the interior rear doors, roof and step painted. Re painted the rear floor in the dark olive, this will be toned down with some filters soon. Got the sides and front wall of the rear area glued together.
I am still feeling like the cab needs some more weathering but am going to wait a bit before I start going nuts on it, it looks good but I think it can look better. The rear area needs I be hit with future and then oils this week so that I can get things buttoned up there. Once that is done onto the exterior and the rest of the detail and weathering stuff. Cheers.
