Andrew and Darren, looking forward to your build's guys.
Here is today's progress. Not much just more building and adding some wire for the winch.

Ok Boyos, here it is my Land Rover build. I think I am gonna post a build log for this too for those that want to follow along. So I decided on the Tamiya Land Rover Ambulance, as it was in the stash and it has been there for a few months at least, I think I bought this last year.
I started tonight as I felt it was too cold last night to venture out into the garage. I managed to get the under carriage down tonight and through to step 5 without the addition of the wheels. I am leaving the wheels off until much later as I want to paint them first before I set them in place. This kit has ejector marks all over the place so there is gonna be lots of clean up with those. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the welcome Scott, unfortunately I won't be able to make a start for a little while yet as I have gone a little nuts on resin updates for my Wimick. I've ordered both the Legend sets
as well as the DEF model wheel set
As soon as all the goodies arrive I'll start posting some pics.
Cheers

Made some progress today and I would have posted the photos but my other computer is having some issues right now. Will try to get them up tomorrow. Biggest issue now is trying to fill and sand all of the ejector pin marks. "There are too many of them!" It really is quite ridiculous. Have also done some minor scratching to the rear interior. The benches need some detail added to the supports and the rear doors and step will need some too. I am hoping to order some U channel evergreen styrene rod this week to make the mechanism for the upper stretcher holders in the rear, as there is no LHS near me. . . yet. Again will try to post the updates tomorrow assuming that my computer starts working again. Cheers.

Some nice stuff here already!
Will look forward to seeing your WMIk with all the extras Darren. Will you put in a crew also?
Anyway, mine is the HB Defender Hardtop. Was tempted to get one of the new AM sets but time and more importantly budget or lack thereof determined this will be a strict OOB build.
So far only the engine done:
It's incredably detailed and yet will be hidden away....last one of these I did, the WMIK, I spent ages getting it painted in detail. Will avoid all that this time around...

It is great to see you all starting your builds guys, I hope to see a great verity of rovers over the coming months. I will get some more work done on my RSOV as soon as I get some other projects cleared off the bench.

Excellent news guys, the nice lady from the mail room came to my desk just now with a parcel from the great guys at Sprue Brothers YAY!!!
I'll have to give the parts a thorough wash in some warm soapy water when I get home as the smell of resin release agent is quite strong around me at the moment.
Sean I'm not sure on the crew member at this stage, I'll have to see how my enthusiasm level goes. The engines looking good by the way, the level of detail on these HB Rover kits is really nice.
Sal for primer I always use Tamiya white primer out of the bottle thinned with lacquer thinners, this is followed by a coat of Tamiya XF-69 NATO Black to create shadows in the recesses.
Cheers

Got the computer back yesterday from the shop and seems to be working well. Managed to get all (i think) of the ejector marks filled and sanded. Washed all the parts I have ready to go last night in preparation of a quick primer coat to see how we did with the filling and sanding. If all looks good I will begin painting the cab interior and the rear interior. Waiting for the U channels from Evergreen to arrive, hopefully Friday. Started fixing the rear step last night. The Tamiya kit part is not correct. It is too narrow and should be the same width as the part that it connects too. There is also a notch cut out of the back of the step that is missing.
Cut the sheet, notched it and it looks good so far. I will need to add some strip and bolt heads to it and a little handle with wire maybe, to finish it off as well as the curved parts of the mechanism. Will post pics later tonight. Cheers.

Done some more work on the RSOV, I have put all the ammo boxes together and the anti tank rockets.
I have also got a 110 hard top on the go now as well.
I am trying to track down the new black dog set for the RSOV but can't seem to find it anywhere?

Sal great looking progress on your SAS Rover, you're really moving with that kit.
Scott your two Rovers are looking great as well. Also I've just checked Blackdog's web site and the only 1/35 accessories they have are for the UK W.M.I.K Wolf Defender (T35050) which you can get in the UK at:
www.FireflyModels.co.uk
www.WhiteEnsignModels.com
www.halifaxmodellersworld.co.uk
www.StoryModels.com
Cheers

My Evergreen parts finally arrived yesterday, huge box for 4 packets of rod, seems like such a waste. . . .
Managed to get an initial coat of primer on the body, the wheels, and the rear interior so that I can check the level after the filing and sanding. But the airbrush seemed to be gunking up with the Vallejo primer, so I only got a light coat on, will do more later in the week. Also managed to make the "bracket" (?) folding mechanism for the upper stretcher holders. Will update when there is more progress. Cheers.

Some great stuff there guys!
So here's where I'm at with the HB Hardtop: all the major components assembled and ready for paint:
Hope to get a decent run at it over the weekend even though it's St Patricks Day (we don't all live up to the stereotype ) Still a lot of fileing to do on the frame for the rear..... I'm tempted to even leave off the hardtop...

Hello, with this new wheels, don't you think there are some armor panels under the chassis of the W.M.I.K like on the Accurate Armour conversion ?
Legend Productions forgot this details.
