Well here I go again with yet another idea!
With the release of the new hobby boss land rovers, the forth coming 1/48 scale offerings from airfix and of course accurate armours versions, would anyone be interested in a land rover campaign?
More that likely starting late this year or early next year?

I have at least 25 different Land Rover kits (including at least 14 from Accurate Armour) in various scales stashed away, so count me in on this one if it gets going!! I am already doing two 1/35 Firing Line Land Rovers on another site's Falklands Campaign (a 1-ton and a soft top Lightweight). Airfix will not be releasing their 1/48 offerings until at least the third quarter of this year. As of today, us Yanks are still waiting for the HobbyBoss models to reach our shores as far as I can tell--every site I have checked still has them as TBA; yet I have already seen them offered on E-bay from folks in the Far East and the UK!! They have not remained available for long, either! Hopefully they will start showing up next week. Such a long-serving vehicle in all its many variations is a long overdue subject--the lack of decent kits over the years has been an injustice to this vehicle!! The best 4x4 by far....

Hi Jeremy
Do you think it would be cheeky to ask Hobbyboss or Airfix to sponsor the first 24 enlistees to build their model in a campaign ???
I have a few Landies in my stash waiting for a purpose to build. Would there be any specific versions, scales or purpose, military, civil defence, combatent or non-combatent ???
I could be in with any of the above !!!!!
Especially if I was one of the first 24 Hobbyboss or Airfix !!!!!!!

I was thinking for back dating one of the Hobby Boss kits to the Australian SRV.

I'd be in for sure if it's Feb next year. Just bought 3 WMIK's last week, and an AA SAS DPV as well, all keeping company with some 1/24 Series 3 109's.......so many models, so little time.....

I'll definately be in this one. I'm currently working on the Revell Series 3, turning into a copy of one of my mates 4wd's, and a series 2a, using the Tamiya Pink Panther and the Aussie Armour Aussie conversion to turn it into a RAAF ADG gun buggy. I also have one of the AA landrover WMIK i'm going to turn into a current RAAF gun buggy.
I'll probably build a SASR series 2a for this campaign!
