Sounds like great fun.
I'm in with the Firefly Vc. Must admit the tracks look daunting!!!!
But heyho lets see how we do.
This will be my first campaign so from oldtimer to virgin in one move.

A 72-scale Dragon SU-100 will help me for this campaign. It seems realy a very qualitative kit.

Hey guys, some really nice looking choices are showing up here. I'm leaning towards a JagdTiger #6285

Well looks like it will be the OT-34 Flame Tank. Won't need stowage or any extra amenities since the Red Army likes to stick to the basics..............bullets and vodka. OOB will be perfect.

D minus 1 and the mailman just became my new best friend:

Now does anyone mind if the packaging is open? Planning wash the sprues with some detergent to get most of releasing agent remains off. That`s not really part of building the kit, right?

Ok guys I know it's February 1st on the other side of the pond, but here in New York its still the 31st. But I opened up my kit today and I got a whole box full of Dragon goodies
Photobucket
I got here a full bag of Magic Tracks, Aluminum gun Barrel, Brass projectile and shell, metal tow hooks and cables, a fret of PE, markings for 5 vehicles, clear plastic periscopes and a slew of other spruces in the box so many I couldn't get it all to fit back in. Don't know if I'll start it tomorrow but just thought I would get the juices flowing and wet your appetite
Come on guys lets see what you got

Woohoo: board is green! can you tell I`ve been waiting for the start of this one? Here are the contents of my kit: I have to admit that I am impressed. The only gripes I have are the thickness of the toolclamp handles and some thick bits on parts A11 (I guess those are the suspension travel stops or something)

The two white tins at the back contain the Magic Tracks and are marked to show that they are handed. Now I have a day off today so it`s time to cue some Sabaton and get cracking!

If you go the pictures and hit right mouse button, you can go to properties. There you select the entire name of the thing and hit Ctrl+C. Make a reply and hit the [img] button on the bottom of the text field. paste the text you copied between the two bracketed img blocks and that should do it. Still with me?

I'll start this weekend with a Panther F.
Been browsing the Dragon instructions... what a mess !!
At the begininng they state 2 different versions early & late, during the build they have step 6 for "production type" & step 8 for "production type"... they forgot early & late...which is which ? I don't know, will figure something out for sure

I am going with this SAS jeep instead of something with tracks this time. Lots of PE brackets for the gas cans. Looking for some figures to make it more interesting.

Ok guys this is what I love to see, Day 1 and everyone chiming in
@ Tom Cool Jeep Been eyeballing that 1 since it came out. I have some Mini-Art British troopers that came with a desert Dingo that I could send you but u can't put then in until you post you finished kit in the gallery this is Dragon OOB
@ John If you are talking about kit #6403, I build that over at the Panther Campaign and yes those instructions are a nightmare when you get to the turret they have you putting a part in the wrong place let me kn ow if you have any questions
@ Martin Please dont call me Dear Lou or Sal will be fine
@ Bob, love that little guy with the long barrel is it metal, I may have to get 1
@ Benjamin, you were the 1st 1 out of the gate what did you get done today
Keep up the work guys

Sal,

No, the barrel included in the kit is a one piece plastic one that has the muzzle opening already molded into it. So, even I can't get it off center.... which I have been known to do. Other than that the kit seems to be a beauty.

Of course, after reading Bill Plunk's build blog for the DML Pzkpfw III Ausf N sPzAbt 501 Afrika I radically modified the construction of the rear plate and the idler assemblies. Hey, they said it had to be OOB not that I had to follow each step to the letter...

Hopefully they will come together as well as I am hoping.

Bob

Tom: You may want to take a look at both Swash Design and Evolution Miniatures. Both resin stuff and not cheap, but good quality (especially Swash). Bound to be more stuff out there.

Sal: Have I been busy. Progress does not yet look like much, but most of it has been building the wheels. Still need to sand those babies and change "Continentau" to "Continental".
Since I can only use what is in the box, I`ll be using some toolbox techniques to make this baby look slightly more interesting. Steel plate texture with glue, brushes and a tiny milling tool fitted on the dremel. Note that I still need to sand the turret.

Anyone got gripes or questions: fire at will

I'm going to get a early start on this campaign. Been struggling with the "Art of the Battlefield Campaign" due to all the PE my build has. I need a break and do a relaxing build!

I have chosen the Dragon Jagpanzer IV L/70(V) Kit #6397 as my build kit. This will be my first Jagpanzer and I look forward to it. Below are my entry photographs!

I'm in with the 1:35 scale M7 Priest (item 6637). I just have another 10-15 Friul links for a Pzkpfw II and I can get started!
