Here another update.
It's been a slow month on the bench.
I hope I'll get the pace back soon..it's the Dragon kit 6416, more than 2 yrs away in the box, I hope to get it finished soon
Next step: decals on the turret, weathering wheels & lower hull, weathering the turret too...
With a steady pace at the bench, I hope 2 weeks will be enough to call it done.

Turret has decals, and I weather it too.
I gave a try on streaking AK products for the first time and some chipping , filters & washes.
lower hull is next.

Alan- thanks for the feedback..the Merk was a fun kit, I wouldn't advise the ball-chain though!
Great work on the wot-3, the scene looks excellent, the figure has a typical waiting around look.. nice job!
John- looks like your first time was a success! The AK streaks look like photo's, and the chipping is spot on!
How was the kit to build ?, I want to build something from WWW2 ..this looks like an interesting kit!

Thanks Jeff !!!
It's a nice kit, great detailing, PE, and it wasn't as expensive as the other Dragon's Tiger.
Here are a couple of reviews & a build log.
http://www.militarymodelling.com/forums/postings.asp?th=22969
http://www.dragon-models.com/html/6416-reviews.htm
I also recommend a Tamyia Stug B & a Trumpeter's Emil if you're looking for other WW2.
Thanks again for the kind words !

Ok side skirts are 90% done, just need to add the bolt heads and drill the holes. Once that is done the mounting brackets will need to be scratched then the whole thing test fitted and painted. Cheers.

Another unfinished kit off the bench, my first Tiger.
Questions, comments, opinions are welcome.

Well, Since the storm has passed and there was no damage here, i was able to get some work done.
Daylight hours of course.
Fenders on and a bunch of etch work. Not easy to see in the photo.

Hi all,
Calling this one done. Bit of a problem with the front wheel being placed on the rear resulting in a bit of damage caused when changing it back over.
Cheers.

sorry guys - I have not posted since page 11 - just tried to catch up with all the stuff thats getting done. I will try and support a bit mote - just got tied up with stuff.
I actually painted the interior masked it up - and im onto the painting the exterior.
not so exciting but
tracks were biggest PITA - and they dont fit so well around the drive sprocket. they are supposed to be working - but i find these things way to delicate so i just cement them as much as possible.
best
Mark

here is the painting i did on the week end.
I used Eduard masks for the numerals and some markings - unlucky for me they lifted the paint off when it came to remove the numeral masks. I will touch it up and incorporate into weathering.

I found my way back to this thread.
Of all the going projects on my work bench, I pulled this one out again, the Dutch BARV...
I'm trying now to lay down tulle fabric as the extruded metal walkway. It's tricky to handle, stretching and warping however I hold it, but I'll post photos again as it progresses.
Cheers!
-Sean H.
Oh, and Mark, yes, that lifted paint is painful to see. I hope those repairs work out well for you!

I have pretty much all assemblies done.
I preshaded it, then a basecoat with some modulation on the edges. Some of the preshading was too dark. But, this build is to work on and learn about techniques.
