Congrats on a very nice, realistic finish Ian -- I would've thought it was an actual pic especially if placed on a backdrop. Cheers, Tat

Wow! some great builds have been going on here. I've been inspired by you guys. I'm trying to tackle the DAK wear using the hairspray method. Here's where I am so far
More chipping next and maybe meet the deadline if I can get all these wheels painted

Quick update since I have not had a chance to update here recently. Managed to get my homemade decals done and on, then went back over them with some paint and the result is better, not perfect, but better. Sealed this and have begun the oil washes on the skirts. Let me know what you think so far. Cheers.

Finally, after two long years, I can say that this build is done. I thought of getting this over before the New Year's Eve celebration starts kicking in.
Jeff, thanks for having me on the campaign. All the best to the participants!
Some pics to share; I've also uploaded some to the campaign gallery:
Cheers, and Happy New Year to all!

I'm trying to get more done on this. Decals, filters, and wash next

Thanks Alan, Greg! Am happy to note that the camo went well. I remember those long days of cutting paper tape masks -- and now knowing that disc camo masks are already commercially available!
Still have a lot of un-built, un-painted kits lying about -- hoping that I'll get to do them all in due time.
Greg, my first try using HS method was on a DAK Pz II for Get R Done 2. Looking back, I think I overdid mine -- yours looks just right, together with the recognition flag. All the best on your project!
Cheers,
Tat

Had to touch up a couple of wheels after painting then assembled the tracks and hull. Now a clear coat.
Cheers Rob.

Okay, finally finished this project!
Classic Italeri SdKfz 234/1 with many Eduard PE parts added. Photos taken on a not yet finished dio base with a Miniart building and scratch built fence and street.
Thanks for the campaign to get me motivated to finish. Lot's of great work out there that keeps me motivated!
Happy New Year to my fellow modelers.

There's a two week extension right?
Tat - thanks. I spotted your panzer II in your photos and it looks good, just more worn out in the field longer
Rob - lets get these builds done. Your almost there too
Gideon - awesome 234/1 camo. I'm working on a Puma for Big Cats campaign too. Congrats. If you wanted to get the turret screens to color match the body. Just use some hardware store blue painter's tape around the turret and spray some redbrown on the screens. Add any other wash or filter you used before. I know those screens are delicate to get to stay on, so another option is to remove them and do the painting and re-apply.

Thanks Mark!
Got the decals on and painted the plow, just have to clear coat the plow and add three decals to it then it's details and weathering.
Cheers Rob.

And finished up the mine plow.
For being over 20 years old the decals went on really well.

Thanks Greg. One thing I keep telling myself is to hold on to too much weathering. I have another Pz II in the works -- will try to have a "tamer" approach.
Rob, nice progress on your build. Looking forward to its completion!
Cheers,
Tat

Hi, is it possible to get this thick decal to go down? I've been using the MicroSol with little progress. I can get a bottle of Solvaset if it works better as I have a $5 off coupon for my LHS? Also I have Archer transfers if those will go on somehow easier???
I got the wheels and tracks painted now and will have a pic next time.

Greg, I would think you would need Solvaset for that. Usually that will get the most hard-case decals to lay down. If that didn't work I would try the dry transfers.
