Bob agreed .. the hunter looks like a better idea but not a greatly thought out one though lol .. so many bad ideas in this tank but oh you gotta love the ideas of the 50's and 60's don't ya ,, still love how the hunter was to use rocket guns hahaha .. why did every thing in those days have to be rocket guns ,,hell i even know that the US seriously tried to build a hand held rocket gun ..i dont mean a RPG sort of thing, noooo , a handgun sort of thing , the thing looked like an over sized M1911, a friend of mine did a personal study on this thing ..lets just say he knows people so getting info for him aint a real issue ,,anyways once done he told me the little tiny rocket would not have anywhere enough punch to even penetrate a 5mm piece of mild steel plate and that was the AP round and this meant to be armour stopper

Yeah, I heard about the rocket gun.... they even had one that the public could own. I bet finding ammo for that is a bit of an issue...

Always thought it would make a neat model. The Small ICBM Hard Mobile Launcher. They can't hit you if they don't know where you are. I believe YouTube has videos of it on trials.... just drop the launcher to the ground and let it plow a firm base for itself.

OH yeah Bob mate ..i have always loved those systems and there's the tracked version too and man that thing is huge , once i have the many pics needed to build the wheeled version i am going too ,, i have 4 tank transporters and having a ICBM Mobile launcher is always a good thing
Besides that is looks totally cool too and thats good enough for me

For some reason the trailer isn't as interesting to me as the tractor part. I can see that thing up on some planet being used as an exploration vehicle or something. So, when you have the plans all set up let me know.... would love to build at least the tractor one of these days...

This is the video that most impressed me.... it gives you some idea about the trailer tires, but they seem to have a cover that comes down about half way. Although you get some idea of the arm arrangement they are on when it is going over the barrel humps....

Bob that was a brilliant vid of that beast .. least i have a slightly better understanding now of how the trailer suspension works .. all 6 wheels are on there own suspension arm by the look of it ,still the vid didn't get any clear shot of those wheels but i don't care ..was a great watch and seeing how it used the trailer to grade the ground lol .. oh thats a great idea
That trucks looks way wider than a Hemitt and once i find the info i need then i'll get the wheel sizes the truck uses ,then i can try to scale it haha ..for a person who sucks at math this is be fun

With some serious hunting should be able to find more info on that truck and trailer ,the primeportal pics are superb as always so those are going to be a huge help.
This is not going to be a fast build by any means not with all the other stuff i have to do first ,just gives me more time to search for info on this thing .

Believe me, this is not an immediate priority. I have enough to do for the foreseeable future. Not to mention finding odd little things every time I turn around now. Have been looking at photos of the XM571 among others...

Right now what I will build for the campaign keeps getting more confused with each day...

mmeier ,,You have to admit it sure would be fun blasting around any sort of land scape with that thing .you saw the vid and what it can do ,,right there alone makes the fun aspect huge screw the Duke boys .they would have get thru me first and i'm no push over

Although the Bob Semple tank MIGHT not be considered weird or strange in New Zealand I think the rest of the world might. One guy made the point that in speed and maneuverability that it did rate about as well as a Matilda.

Oh trust me Bob,, us kiwi's think its pretty damn strange to and next to bloody useless .. one guy remarked that Bob stole the tin of the side of his shed ,the armour was a joke at best but not a bad attempt when you think it was pretty much made on a farm .

Its a shame not one of those is left ,would make a very nice museum piece and also something to laugh at
