Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday to Stugies happy birthday to us!!!!
Lucky for me we have a big wap & sell this weekend I may have multiple choices lol
Jeff you are "THE MAN"
Cheers Mike
Thanks but we should all thank Gary Kato.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here. I'm gonna volunteer my leadership to this Campaign. A Campaign without direction is like a foot without a big toe. And Gary Kato isn't always gonna be here to be that big toe for us. I think that we owe a big round of applause to our newest, bestest buddy, and big toe... Sergeant Hul, err ... I mean, Gary Kato.

I have just joined this campaign, I have ordered the 1/35 StuG.lll Ausf.E should have it in a couple of days. Looking forward to the 15th.
Going to try doing some modulation and weathering, I have never done this before (only built a few models). I should have probably ordered 2 models just in case I stuff the first one up.

Hi Jeff,
well it was really just a silly idea but thanks for putting
it through. Now all i have to do is clear some open ends in 11 days
And a huge thanks to Gary K for the fast reaction

I imagine Mr. K is so busy and bombarded with questions that it is hard to keep up with it all.
Truly our Big Toe!
Anyway, this will include the extension everyone will need I'm sure ... so don't ask at the end because you got it at the beginning!
I'm still debating on what or which StuG (or StuGs) I will build myself. I'm thinking of changing the DML to a Mid or Early Late G but I don't want to forget the E I just bought.
Hmmmm, I wonder if any of the E's had the Winterketten tracks?

Hi Jeff, I´m going to lean out of the window on this one.
I say it´s an E, the production of these ran until March 42,
the winterktte turned up in winter of 42/43. Now we all know
that the Wehrmacht did not scrap its older vehicles just
because the next Ausführung came along and apart from that I´ve seen a D on the net with them on. So if D´s had em so did E´s.

Now Paul, you have my hopes up and my enthusiasm high on this one!! I have a few things in print on the StuG so when I get home here in the next hour I must investigate this because that would
MAKE MY DAY!!!!I'm not building this one F so it will be the sacrificial lamb, even though I don't want to glue tracks again.
Cool, a dual StuG build.

Hi Jeff,
it is an E. Heres the reason, if it was an F, which some people do say, you would be able to see the top of bolted gun mantlet cover from that angle. Even if the gun was in the horizontal, you would still see this. Here´s a picture
of an F taken at almost the same angle, check the front mid section of the casematt.
I wish I knew how to these bloody pictures larger.
Happy building.
Paul

Oh, hey bud! I believe you! I just want to check out if there are any specific unit numbers I need to get for the markings.
I haven't yet to check, too busy right now. The dishwasher took a crap (I spent 250 on it 3 years ago) but now I am resigned to get a new one. I just put it back together last night.
Anywho ... gotta kick everyone out of here one weekend and do some serious building before I go NUTS over stuff that needs done!! Had to have a new roof put on and repairs on the guttering after a monster hail storm. I had to supervise ya know.

Well, if everyone is okay with it, I think Bobs ribbon is great and I'll submit it to be used.
Agree?

The funny thing is that I am building a StuG III ausf. F for the Get Her Done Campaign. I guess I'm getting a practice run before the campaign starts. I had forgotten all of the quirks of those old Dragon StuG kits.

One more week 'till our launch day!
It'll be going into a weekend too, so there should be lots of plastic & resin gettin' glued!
And with 40 members signed up? I never thought there would be THIS big of a movement to build some StuGs!!
I'm proud of you men!

"In honor of the order to Daimler-Benz to develop and produce this magnificent vehicle way back on June 15, 1936, we will start building OUR Sturmgeschütz Brigade on June 15, 2012!!!
So I gave you guys some extra time and we commence in 11 days!
So get ready!"Sorry you didn't here 'bout it but ya gotta read the WHOLE THREAD!!!

I pretty much rely on on-line resources anymore for my supplies. I've always been a big advocate on supporting my LHS but when they refuse to stock what I buy and when I ask them to get certain a book and then they try add a shipping fee to mine and not the rest they place in stock, then you know where they can go.
The Internet is way too competitive to put up with them not catering to modelers needs and carrying more toys than ever!!
Goodluck on the College tour!
