Well I'm getting one, that's no longer an option. Don't worry Gary I'm no competition, I've only built a few tanks so far

Conor, As mentioned, there are two versions; Model 1956 and Model 1970. The 1956 version is usually a few bucks cheaper than the other one. I really don't know what the difference between the two kits is. I bought mine purely based on how it looks.

Im thinkin' the only substantial difference is the 70 model has a round cupola On the drivers side roof with an MG attached. I think thats about it fellas. May be some other minor differences but their pretty much identical save the round cupola.

You didn't found it in the dictionnary?

Paul I think your progress looks really good so far. It’s a good use of the older trumpy T-55 kit. I couldn’t bring myself to using tamiya’s kit for the conversion…….too expensive.

Alex Your huey is coming along nicely. Too bad there is not a more up to date kit out there on the market.

Gary I really love the home made trap you have there. Almost looks like you used epoxy sculpt and not tissue paper.

Well here is just a small update. I’ve done some high lights and color changing using lighter and darker greens. I’ve also finish the Lebanese flag which really adds life to the kit. I’ve also made a slight change to my plans, instead of using mig’s burnt out car, I’m using accurate armour’s land rover 109.

Hi Chris,
Awesome looking paint job & that flag is just it & a bit, the contrasting colours look saweeet & like the blue Landy ads a whole new dimension!!

I did get the meng p/u with the as gun on it in case I wanted to add to my dio but it was going to be boring white!!

Thanks Philippe and Mike for the great comments It took me awhile to decide what color to paint the landy since most pictures I've seen were either overall tan, green, green-tan camo, and some in flat black. I think the blue will help add some life to the dio. I'm still planning to lighten is some more.

Christopher, glad to see some non-neutral colors for once. Everything is green and tan....green and tan...green and tan....

Christopher A, Looking great. I take it the Rover is blue because it is a civilian vehicle pressed into service.

Paul, I'm liking the side profile of the tank (or is it a TD?). I really thought the Hellcat turret was going to be dwarfed by the hull but I think it's looking great.

I'm fixated on my What-If project so I'm takign a break from my Somali T-34 for a bit. Plus, I'm hoping to find out what the Somali Army of the late 1970s was wearing in terms of uniforms.I've a post over in the figures section, hopefully I'll get a nibble.

Right, I've had a bit of an accident today. My car ended up up-side-down in a field. I'm fine but I'll be dropping all campaigns. I'll also need to find someone to take over my 'Replacement!' campaign.

I'll still pop in on a couple campaigns but as far as I know right now I haven't got money to be spending on plastic tanks.

Hi Chris,

So sorry to hear that is really crappy news at anytime especially at this time of year!! Very glad you are ok tho!!

That's the most important part...if you haven't already got your engima for this campaign & want to still partake, I could post you the Meng AA pick up I have, as a man being without plastic at this time of year just isn't right!!

Could take a little while to reach you tho from here, let me know if it would help

Cheers Mike

Thanks a lot for the offer Mike but I can't accept. If I haven't got this squared away by July I've probably got more than just financial issues at that point. Just don't want ties to anything I can't finish on my own. And quite honestly, the car SHOULD be running and I've got no problems with driving around in a crumpled up Mini. Even then my insurance had better work with me, my family has been with them for ages and the car was paid-off so I'm not completely screwed.

EDIT: I should note that the car is about forty feet from the road, and there's about fifteen to twenty feet of field that the car flew completely over.

Honestly Gary, I think a a gray filter and set-up in a snow setting that would look fantastic. It looks so unconventional/futuristic I think that would account for the odd white/black 'camouflage'. I'll have to take note of that.

Gary, I was thinking the same thing as Christopher about the primer and preshade. It gives a good idea at what a winter scheme would look like on it. I'm sounding like a broken record, but nice work on the crabby tank.
