Paul, it's a small army with very old, out of date tanks. If they bothered to add a floor it was probably nothing more than some ply-wood or maybe some corrugated sheet metal from a roof?

Gary, I have no idea what the hell that is you're building, but it's got to be one of the coolest kits I've seen in a while. Awesome work dude

Being wounded has it perks, had all day to work on the Huey
Still working on the figure placement, I'm nout sure whether I want a compact scene or a more spread out scene

Paul, I checked both of my Hellcats (Academy and AFV Club) and you cannot see much through the turret. At most, I'd go with a couple of sections of tread plate to cover the torsion bars just below the turret.
Alex Z, I'd bring the figures in close to the Huey. They're covering their extraction so maybe keep one just a bit further out in a defensive firing position. Keeping them close should make for a busier and more urgent scene.

A door gunner would be cool to see too!
Is there supposed to be a gap between the top of the carge/crew compartment and the Huey's engines? The cockpit looks great.

The gap is just the lack of roof. The Dragon/Panada hueys are modular so they can be adapted for various types of Huey. The gunner is in place, on the far right standing in the chopper door, all thats missing is the M23 weapon system and his arms. The one thing I worry about is the guy throwing the smoke grenade and whether it would hit the blades,

Hi Alex, hi Christopher,
I think I´ve been out in the snow for too long.
To start with I looked through only the turret shell
and that explains why I can see so much hull floor. Also
there is a small section of floor behind the gunners seat,
where the loader is obviously placed .
I shall add a couple of bits to hull sides but the rest
isn´t really a problem. I should just wake up and read
the academy instructions instead jumping to conclusions.
Back to the bench.

Paul, the instructions are there for a reason!
Alex (Younguns), Arms would help that door gunner out tremendously I'd bet. And it might be a bit safer if the two soldiers in front of him moved out of the way a bit.

Paul,
It's ok I know you were testing out the very hush hush ratko racing recon which was "lightened" all gun & little armor like a pocket battleship
Alex I agree with the advice about having the guys close to the huey showing how "quick" every thing is moving, what if you had / could do someone getting shot who wasn't at the chopper yet to show that not everyone made it??

Paul Thanks for asking some things are starting to get back to normal Lost power on Saturday and then again on Monday so that is still a big
Long Island Rail road that runs into Manhattan finally went to their normal scheduled this week. But some people in some of the hardest hit areas are still not in their homes if they still have a home My daughters girlfriends home had fuel oil, raw sewage and salt water in it so it is now condemned, they have to tear it down and build new
@ Gary I dont know what type of tank that is bro but its looking great

Gary, the asu is being to look like a real beast, keep up the good works.
Well I’ve finally began to paint the Saladin over the last two days. Just like Gary I’m trying to make the paint interesting since I’ve only seen these in Lebanon in over all green. I’m trying to go for the sun bleached finish, So I’ve started out with a very light yellowish green. Once the weather starts, the paint will darken up more. I still have a few more areas to fad before I can seal everything for the weathering process.

Chris, She looks fantastic buddy! Love the color you have as your base - Tamiya mix? Sweet build too!!
Well, i have her primed and a little paint work done. Ive also scratched a tarp roll from gift bag tissue paper and white glue. Straps were made from Whiskas cat food lid.
More later!

Hey John,
Thanks my friend! I tell ya, this is one of my favorite builds. Its been a treat to build and i recommend it. The barrel needs some work and there is no AM replacement but i spent extra time with it and it'll pass.

I know Trumpeter has 2 versions of this tank.
The build kit is way more impressive than the boxart, and Gary as always will turn this into a masterpiece !!
Gary what are you planning to get on the bench next ?
-- big hint -- I'm managing 3 more Campaigns, Big CatsII, ColdWar MBT's and Panzer 38(t) Brigade ...
