Christopher: I know, I got a bit carried away as I was grinding off the plastic from the fender. But I didn´t worry about it as I had this sort of damage on my Chieftain back in the 80´s.
The decal isn´t really 11€, there is a whole sheet but that is the only decal needed, if anyone else is doing a Balken T55 then let me know and you can have the rest without paying nearly 15$.
The trick I do is to get the decal on the vehicle so long the Gloss is still damp.

So are you also using something like Solva-set? I'd have to guess that would react weird with the gloss coat but I figured I should ask anyways!

O.k Mike you started something now:
Mike is of heart, a real poet
tis a shame he does not know it.
He´s our campaign leader
he´s the thought breeder,
ideas of crazy he does giv-eth,
but self create, he not of late,
let us see what he will do-eth.
Builds of slow
our leader shows,
quality is there I do admire
I take my hat to this cool Squire.
@Gary: Thankyou dude, well appreciated. I must still from your Jedi techniquies.
@Christopher: It is revells aqua gloss and the decal was loosened and applied with warm water.

Looks cool, Gary.
I made some minor progress on my -34 since my replacement parts arrived. More to follow.
Regards, Ian

@ Paul did compose a wonderful ditty too, the campaign leader who is slower than snails stuck in superglue!! Two models for my club comp meant to be ready by March, already panicking so much my throat is parched!!
But my 55 has some wheels in motion, trying to juggle them all could lead to a demotion!!
@ Ian very glad to see you now have all the parts, I will keep on checking as it rockets up the charts!!
A very big thanks to Mr Kato for doing our ribbon!!

Hello fellas,
Thanks Mr.Kato, the banner looks sweet Mike!!!
Got an update. Ive finished the chipping and started weathering the tool handles. Got the periscopes and vision ports done and did a bit of streaking with AK products. Lots left to do.
Maybe ill have her done by tomorrow night....we'll see!

Mace Boggs! You Jedi master of tank modeling! Wowee bro I like the finish the streaking is just to my lieking. I got to order some of that AK stuff. Imo, the pioneer tools could use a little more wear, ie: bare metal on the tip of the shovel. I`m trying my new constructive critisism theory...Cause frankly I`m not about to get those result myself and this is a awesome build as it is

Gary whatever type of Tank that is it looks outstanding as usual
I have made some progress on my T-34
The PE brackets for the fuel tanks were kicking my butt result is fill caps are not straight
and this kit has lots of PE to go inside hatches but no interior at all not even a gun breach
well after some file and sanding work on the seams it got a coat of primer and as Ian suggested a nice, as opposed to a mean, green base coat
More pictures to follow

Sal----your -34 looks strokin'.
I worked on mine today. I don't have any poetry to offer but I have adorned my -34/85 with pink Play-Doh. This thread is really getting warm and fuzzy. The Croatian combat arm would probably kick my ass for adorning a fighting vehicle with pink Play-Doh. Anyway, the sandbag armor has been added and I will wait for that to cure up. Then I will retexture the turret with Mr. Surfacer. Sal, looks like you and I have the same fit issue with the front of the turret. Anyway, stay tuned.
Best wishes, Ian

Ian, LOVE THE PINK BRO!! Imust say, it does work nice. I would not have tought that play dough was useable as a modeling medium. did you sealed the dough with something?

Philippe------I impressed the Play- Doh with cheese cloth to give it texture. I then took furniture glue, diluted with water, and brushed it on. The Play Doh will dry hard and the furniture glue coating will seal it.
Best wishes, Ian

Hi there,
no more poetry today, just hard core fotos . But more on that soon
@Sal: the T34 is coming along nicely dude. Have you thought about trying to cut the filler caps off and new ones
You´d have to be damned careful mind.
@Ian: well lets see then: You like pink Play Doh / Military
Vehicles and Finnish symphonic Metal
We have no need to worry about you, your perfectly normal
The T34 also looks cool, I could imagine that the doh sucks the paint in are you going to prime it enamals to stop that happening?
@Gary: you are just amazing dude, just how do you do it especially now your elfs have gone on strike
Well here we go, I´m calling this Freakshow monster done. Time to get it into the Wax Cabinet.
Washes on:
Matt on, and some very light chipping and a light dry brush:
Off to the Wax Cabinet:
Cheers Mike, this is a cool campaign. Maybe a #2 will turn up and if it does I shall be there with somethig else from
"Badmans Madlab Productions"
Stick in there lads, I shall be watching all of your progress.

Paul-----Beautiful M-55 T-Cat. I actually saw a picture of this actual vehicle on the Internet and you really nailed the build. In answer to your question, I will prime the T-Beast with Humbrol Gloss Admiralty Grey which really makes a nice undercoat. And yes, I like to build to the thundering symphonic sounds of Nightwish. Good stuff!!!!
Best wishes gentlemen!

Paul,
Well I can see why Frankenstein is off to the wax cabinet, a quality museum piece for sure!!! Just looks bad ass & then some!!
As for a part deux, as long as I don't shame myself & manage to build faster & finish I think that could be arranged as their was a photo of a Serbian / Bosnian hellcat with a FAP power pack posted earlier in the thread & If I was able to get to the level of scratch building it or finding a 35th kit of the FAP then I would.
Then again another T55 somewhere else in the world could do too lol
Keep up the great work gents & once again thanks to all who are involved or even just pop in to look & encourage
Cheers Mike

Paul, Looks great.
It'll be interesting to see what's behind door #2. Any chance we'll see a quad 50 atop that Hellcat chassis?

Alex, there's a couple people with plans to build the Hellcat/Quad 50. Jon (last name with a 'B'), and someone else in the AntiAircraft campaign has plans as well. Might want to watch out for those.

Cheers guys
@ Alex: yes there is serious thought going into that project
right now And as there is only one foto of that beast I´m a bit stuck.
But help is on it´s way from a very kind gentleman by the name of Jon Bernstein or "Cobrahistorian" who also has this project planned
@ Ian: I prefer a mix of Toten Hosen / Ramones / Metallica / Pistols / DK´s. The only problem at the moment
is, that my record player has broke down and I have to listen to ****ing CD´s
An alternative to cheese cloth is an old sock, I´ve used this a few times on putty sand bags with good results.
Wash the sock first though
