FWIW I agree with Jeff - but there's still a long way to wait until we can start . Until then - if people want to show off their current works post them in the usual 'Constructive Feedback' forum or other appropriate forum to avoid cluttering up this one.

Are you allowed to finish Shermans you didn't get finished in the last Sherman campaign?

Read the rules!
The Rules and Regs
1) Must not be started
So the answer is NO.
But should work in the Free For All Campaign!

They know that Sal. I laid the guidelines out pretty clear but they keep on asking outside the box.
I don't know what the problem is other than it's intentional. I also see that Mr. Moon has un-enlisted over his deal.
Too bad.

Jeff,
I appreciate you running the campaign and getting the participation/rules clarification for us. I am holding off on my build to participate in this campaign, and hope my results are worthy of our efforts.

Excellent Stu, I need more men like yourself. As a matter of fact you can be my XO and help me keep it tidy around here 'till we execute D-Day of the Sherman Force.
I guess with everything good there must be a few dark clouds to run for cover or to defend against but I'm sure we'll make it!

To be fair, some of us were allowed some leeway on the "must not be started" rule. I know I got the exception for my StuG for the StuG Campaign. I've seen others get some leeway after asking as well.
I can understand people asking about such things. I can also understand the asking getting repetitive. Besides, people will always have questions and want clarifications for campaigns.

Alex ,,, Yep ture .. some partial builds have been allowed and those are only allowed if ,,, 1 the campaign leader says so or ,,2 the build has so little done to it its barely built .
Tim's tank was nearly completely finished and one other thing is in all the campaigns i've looked into not once have i seen people post pics of what they are building before the campaign even starts .
I totally agree with Jeff on this one and Jim too .. this campaign has ages to go yet ..no point turning it into the Armour/AFV page ,,we already have one of those .

I would certainly encourage people who have questions about a campaign to read the rules of the campaign first. If that doesn't answer your question, then post the question.

Now, any MODEL related questions or maybe even about the SHERMAN TANK that pertain to this Campaign?
Very well, let's all move along now as there's nothing more here to see. Oh, and here's something for your reading pleasure too: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Campaigns&file=index&req=showcontent&id=611

I've always wanted to build a Sherman Mine Tank in 1/16th ever since I started back in 2004.
Can you imagine it on the IR battlefield? What an advantage THAT would have, huh?
But, there are 'other' versions I want first... then maybe that monster! I'm a little behind with only 3 but working on getting more on the workbench. And here I am messing around with 1/35th but I keep telling my friends it's the community that matters!
I think.

In a perfect word people would read the rules. And they should. But people don't. And peopel aren't likely to read an entire thread to see if similar questions have already been asked. But sometimes you need those clarifications. I think the thing is what you are asking and if that is covered by the rules.
Like with my situation for the SyuG Campaign, I saw the rule about not allowing kits that had already been started. I never asked about entering a partially completed kit. My first choice was a StuG M40, which wasn't approved.
I don't see what Tom did as being wrong. I think he was showing us what he was currently working on. He probably should have did a WIP thread in Constructive Feedback. Maybe post a link to it here. I thought he was too far along for the Large Scale Campaign, that's why I suggested he go to Get Her Done 3 with it.
It's a Sherman Campaign so turnout should be good. We still have a ways before this one starts. I don't mind the discussion and idea swapping while we wait.

Okay. Not only will I have this to offer to the Campaign...
... and then the 1/16 Profiline M4A1:
I have also lined up (and have in my grubby little hands... photos to follow) some more 1/16th Sherman parts for a Third build to submit for this Campaign, an Early M4A3 like this:
I want to do something different/special with this one like maybe a black over olive drab camo, or put some waders on it would be good...
... or do both?
What do you think Campaigners?
(I'm still working on the wife to get this http://rcscalemodelstore.com/rc-tanks/huge-rc-tank-16-scale-m4a3-sherman-tank-completely-built/ for a possible entry on next years Large Scale Campaign, but it is already built)

Either way buddy they still gonna look very cool ,,a black over OD camoed M4 would still look pretty cool and waders would top it off nicely

No, the Mine Exploder T1E3M1 “Aunt Jemima” tank MUST have some major machining evolved and my 'go-to-guy' is at times is kinda swamped so a timeline would have to be planned pretty thoroughly. Or heavily modify some squirrel cages from automotive blower motor assemblies?
Huuuh?
I want the featured parts to be in aluminum for durability and detail and I cannot cut those and possibly might be too big for him.
Scared? I'm scared on any big project I start on for I fear the fact that I might have to stop if something comes up and becomes a major roadblock. But, I try to carefully plan out ALL my 1/16th projects.
Hasn't happened yet!
Here's a few pics of the newly acquired parts for the early M4A3 on my "Projects on Hold" shelf I built.

Jeff,
Those are some projects you have planned, I look forward to seeing them! I'm afraid all of my Shermans are good old 1/35 scale, but I do have a number to choose from. I haven't nailed down which one I'll be doing yet, but to keep my options open I would like a clarification on the rules.
You state, in the rules, that: "It must be a T-23 or a Low or High Bustle turret and can use the Israeli modified tanks and that's it." By "Israeli modified tanks" I assume you mean the M50 and M51 with modified turrets to take the big 75mm and 105mm guns. Is my assumption correct?
Thanks!
Michael
