Paul - looking forward to your Hetzer. But those tracks do look like a nightmare.
John - the color looks good. Nice progress
Sal - that camo is menacing looking. Very cool!
I will get back to my hetzer probably in a couple weeks

Yeah I thought I touched that up but a new set of photos show that I still need to get some more spots before the additional weathering

Sal: thanks dude, your camo scheme is kick a$$, and please
give me a set of dragon tracks any day , they are simple compared to these monsters from trumpeter with their
2 different types of track pin for the in and outer sides
John: thanks mate, I see you have also not yet started on those easy tracks
California Greg: thaks to you too, your Hetzers camo is also mean meat dude, are you going to add dark yellow or maybe even light grey
Michael: 1-16 eh? I certainly didn´t notice the scale. Cool build it looks a treat
O.k. here´s the finished engine compartment, it´s hull red from Revell, Tamiya German grey, a disgusting wash I have standing around, ground up chalks and a quick dry brush with Humbrol aluminium:
and this is what you can see when the upper hull is added
it´s under the PE mesh
I promise that I will now start on the tracks, now I have gotten over the scare of these buggers

That's a great engine !!
Can't you leave the mesh engine screen in an open position
That's too bad it will be hidden...
Nice work so far !!
Wait ! 2 sets of different pins ?? Oh god... here I was thinking and cursing my Tristar tracks...

Hi John, yeah two types of track pin :
Sprue T4 parts 1 and 2
and the engine mesh screen is staying there, it would look
odd otherwise. But I think that the fit of the upper hull is good enough so as not to use glue, which means I can take it off and look in there.
Oh, I might even add a bit more to the fighting compartment but that would be scratch only and only very roughly accurate

Hi John,
now I remember, those darned tracks were advertised as workable and no need for glue (joke of the year).
The only thing that works with those things is you as you
try to get them together without falling apart at every fart . John just get em together on a piece of tape and glue the buggers, and then wrap round the running
gear and paint in situ.
Thanks Sal, I did even think about leaving the attachments there as some sort of "flexible Duckbill track extension" but then thought better of it as this is a serious campaign (LOL).
By the way my hetzer was primed today, in Red-oxide but I have no idea if it was revell or humbrol, I´ll show some pics tomorrow.

Thankfully I finished mine sometime ago, I figured they would be on the tricky side and done them as soon as I could. I must say though... you did zoom in a little too much in the photo, you make them look alot bigger than they really are.

Ok I did some more touch up and weathering to my build and I think I'm to the point that i was gonna call it finished
But since my daughters high school graduation this past weekend I can't find the camera to take any pictures
I guess I will have to search again tonight
