Hi,
I've recently discovered this forum and I must say I'm very impressed with the quality of your builds. I would consider myself an average modeler but the stuff you guys do is fantastic. I'm a little jealous.

I re-painted the Tiger 1. I decided to go with the white winter scheme.
I removed the tow cables and whatever tools I could without breaking them. The rest, I masked or just reconciled that I'd have to address them later. The tracks were my real concern. I masked the spare links and covered the track lengths with clear plastic wrap. I'd rather hand-paint the roadwheels' centers white than spray them and try to paint the rubber later.
White on.
I think it came out pretty good.
Wheels painted white. The figure is the winter commander from a Tamiya Panzer IV/H. I don't have enough for the whole crew so I probably will hold off on making crew figures for this one, for the time-being.
Markings on. I sort of went random for them...this isn't base don a specific vehicle or anything.
I actually have done most of the drybrushing, washes, etc. Unfortunately the pictures are horrible and I'm going to have to re-take them. Technically, it's done. I just have to get the pictures showing it.

Alex: Would the markings have been painted over the whitewash?

Matt,
Some were painted over and re-applied. Others were painted around to the point that you'd have a base color background. I went with the painted over and re-applied angle. I hadn't planned on adding the numbers. That was a last minute decision.

Okay I went and retook some pictures. The originals were taken on a blue background and it made the yellow look more prominent than it really is. Even the retakes look a bit more yellow than what they are in real life. If it comes to it, I can tone down the yellow.

Nice John I like the intakes in etch.
Alex I am going for the white wash on mine, and it's the 1st time I will have done it. Did you use acrylics, and if so did you do a hairspray technic? I have done hairspray before and was thinking along those lines.
Mine is coming along slowly, I have spent loads of time on the interior which I never planned on, and most of it will be hid May put a wee light inside so you can see in.
Progress so far.
and after weathering.
Interior of hull
side skirts with some damage.

Thanks Pete.
To be honest, the white is spray paint. It's a bit of a shortcut, but I'm kind of wanting to wrap this one up. Chipping, wear, etc. were all done through layered dry-brushing. I usually use acrylics with the airbrush though.
By the way, great work on your Tiger. That interior really is sharp.

Progress on my Pzkpfw. II:
Interior built in sub-assemblies and primered. Thinking of going for a cream white interior, leather seats and a darker color for the transmission.
Sorry for he crappy photo; my camera is being used for video production at the moment.

Thanks, I myself don't have a build for this campaign. I have 3 models sitting on my bench right now which I work on based on my mood....anyway.
This is one of the items I have on my bench.
A Dragon 1/35 Hummel. it's delayed right now as my files have gone missing....similar to how my best tweezers went missing only to discover them in the girlfriends draw in the bathroom. I'm need to prep the parts then practice using solder to join these pieces rather than superglue.

I will not be able to finish my earlier entry of the 1/72 Tiger from Trumpeter. While cleaning yesterday, there was an accident which knocked it off the table and it ended up getting stepped on and thus, destroyed. I do have another I would like to enter that I think I can finish on time. Just need approval of it since I didn't take any pics when it arrived and I have started on it about a month ago. I bought it completely un-started from another member here and can verify that it was not assembled in any way when he shipped it to me about 2 months ago. So if everybody approves then I would like to enter the Panzer IV/70 (A) from Dragon. Here's the link to the thread that I purchased it out of. https://archive.kitmaker.net/forums/211076&page=1
I purchased it from markdrake on the 4th of last month and when it arrived it was still in factory sealed bags. The pics below are from this morning, as it sits right now.

The rules gives a bit of leeway with no more than 25% complete (including no upper and lower hulls assembled), so it looks like you're within the rules.

I gave the Tiger another wash of white to tone down the yellow showing through. This is as far as I want to go with that. The yellow shows up way more than it does in the pictures than in person.
I'm calling this one done. I uploaded two pictures in to the campaign gallery.
