I added some more missing equipment & decals

Then some Filters and a PinWash

Get some silver on the front lights and clear red for the rear one , the turret & antenna... and that's a wrap !

It was a nice little kit. I didn't wait for the Bronco release, this one was at a decent price, nice detailing, PE.
Happy with the result.

It's so cute!

In a gray and clunky sort of way! Rather like the runty, oddly-shaped bow-legged kitten with the kinked tail in the litter of otherwise tall, straight-legged, long-tailed lanky and sleek beauties!

Hey! I'm really quite partial to these odd little contraptions, and it looks to be a right fine job, by me!

Alvaro: Awesome build! That is the kind of quality I reserve for competitions. Everything else is just practice. I can't wait to see your final result.

Still lots left to do on this IV/70 (A). Tracks are fitted for the most part. I used the kit's individual links. Still in the process of drilling holes in the superstructure for tie downs after removing nearly all of the kits molded on detail. I will be using Tamiya's tools and other assorted bits to replace the inferior kit versions. Added the antenna mount to the rear of the superstructure and have the upper hull dry fitted to the lower for now. Still need to do the final weathering on the lower track runs and the wheels. Progress is being made but still fighting with which inaccuracies to actually fix and which to just live with. So the final product should look far different than the way it does at this moment.

Alvaro;

VERY nice panzer!

Looks properly dark and gray and I love those mufflers!

One thing you should, I think, hit would be that balkankreuz decal on the rear - looks to me like the decal spans or stretches over the step between those rear plates and creates an odd discontinuity with the adjacent painted surfaces. Maybe carefully slit that decal so that the resulting ends can fit into the crack, apply a drop of solvaset or whatever you use on decals and reset those edges, and dab in a little pigment or chalk dust to weather things back to where you had them.

Otherwise, a spledid panzer, by me!

Great work Alvaro !!
The stowage and the rusted mufflers are great, the light weathering is superb.

Congrats on the Uruguay's road to the World Cup

Thanks John, I paint them rust first and later add rust pigments, and some orange touch with chalk pastels. Also, I add some true rust from an old pipe. As Bare Metal foil said, looks rust as its rust!...

Maracana!

Thanks, as always suffering!. From a fourth place at the last World Cup, had to play for a spot because Brazil was already qualified, otherwise, could not go. Shame, but we're in the same place where we won in 1950. Maracana!

That's a terrific job with the PzIII, you should be proud !

Wining Copa America they should got a place, but I'm not making the rules.. it's a difficult team, Suarez, Forlan, Cavani, Maxi, Rodriguez..
It's going to be a great World Cup !

Thanks Sal!

The branches are of a small tree, like a willow, I cut small pieces and glue with CA. The wire that connects them is a cable from an old computer mouse

@Alvaro: Excellent Panzer III!

Progress photos on my Pzkpfw II:

Interior painted and weathered. Quite happy with the result. Unfortunately I realized that I had glued shut the only hatch that would allow a view of the interior. Oh well.

Thanks Vegard

I like your work in the interior, I have the same model, but don't qualify for this campaing as have more than 25% of work.
I shut down all the hatchs, as I don't made any of the interior details....

Thanks.

I didn't have the proper ivory color in my stash, so I used Vallejo Light Brown instead. Vallejo Black for the engine, dry brushed with Light Grey and the new Vallejo water-based washes for the weathering.

Did the early panzers have a different interior finish? From what I have seen, they were much lighter.

@Matt; Yes, they used RAL 1001 Elfenbein (Ivory) for the interior. It's almost white as far as I can tell, but I didn't have that color in my stash. Besides, the hatches on my model isn't going to be open.

If you mean for the Academy kit I built, no I got them from my spares, as the one from the Academy has S03 which is wrong, the balkencruz is from the Academy kit tho.

A due update, better late than never! (I've been struggling with many things at the same time, not least those tiny photoetchs!)

Now, for the zimmerit.

Many good models here, the stakes are high.
