Jeff: Why don't you just pick your three favorites? I am sure you have time to complete them all.

Well, I'm voting against the Hetzer. I don't want you to steal my Hetzer thunder, even if it's 1:72!

Fredrik, all righty then, the Hetzer has been withdrawn Jeff T.

Paul,You're right the Nash is a great kit with lots of goodies. But the L70 is right up there too,and I think it has been discontinued,so I was very happy to find it.I even called before I placed My order to make sure they had it

So,narrow it down to three? Now I have to start all over again.

Matt,What do you think,I'm as fast as Gary? If I get one done for this,I'll be lucky.Jeff T.

The Flammpanzer is complete, with factory Dark Yellow paint. Well my own mix of Dark Yellow which has slightly more brown.
Actually had it completed yesterday and first coat of paint applied.
Spent the afternoon today applying the second coat and painting the road wheels and the pioneer tools.
Tracks where also painted yesterday.

Ill get some better pics posted soon but here's a few from the last couple days, enjoy.

Gary: Man, speed builder! Waiting to see the weathering, on this one. Were there any build issues? I just found this little beauty, for $22.

Thanks everyone!! I had my bench cleaned off two days before campaign started... just tinkering with an old Willis jeep... couldn't wait to build this.

Issues; the only real {pita} was the gun mantel had to wait for things to dry before further assembly or it collapses Same with the air intake screens

The Flammpanzer went together as per instructions.

But I think the commanders cupola will be replaced with one with open vision slits. Also the muffler needs some attention. Wire will be added for the lights and the smoke dischargers.

I,m pondering a dio and a few men.... we'll see in the coming days.

Have got the choice down to one of these?

Will go with the Fahregestall properly as I have a Mortar in the stash. Anyone built one of these, just looking at the PE is giving me the shakes already.

ok, bench cleared, time to start on this beast. Not sure yet

1) if it will be an E or an F (kit contains the long barrel for the F but markings only for an E)
2) what work on the interior I will do - maybe a little at the back of the hatch (couple of machine guns(?) latched to the rear perhaps)
3) what damage I will do - tempted to take off half one fender
4) just what stowage will be on it (photo shows what I have so far)

Hi Jeff,

The L70 would be my second choice, not much in it with the Nashorn. Also the L70 doesn't necessarily need zimmeritt, a plus in my view.

All the best,

Paul

Hey Paul, what's up Man?I like the L/70 also, but just finished one up in 1/76th that came out really nice, and then ruined it with an atempted whitewash So I don't think I want to do that one at this time.So I guess I should drop it from the list too.
Maybe the Elefant without Zimm a la Kursk.Jeff T.

Building is now 95% done (well, 90% at least;)). Only have some minor details left to build like the jack, the remote MG34, exhaust and a few minor bits and bobs around the fenders and sideskirts left to do.

Hopefully I can get some primer on it today or tomorrow.

Great job Fredrik. Another speed builder.

My mom and her husband will be visiting your area in a week or so. Her husband is from Kalmar and has family in Gothenburg.

Well, it's a simple kit. The part count is probably half of that of a Dragon kit. Only fiddly parts are the link-and-length tracks and rear superstructure/engine cover, which is comprised of multiple plates and access panels that you have to glue together, an odd design choice.

I hope the weather here holds up another couple of weeks then. The weather here has been fantastic the last couple of days, swedish summer at its best. Unfortunately you never know with swedish weather, it might rain and stay around 15'C the rest of the summer...
