This campaign makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. I'm going to order my entry, this week. Can't do the Africa version, using the Tristar kit. I'm going with the tauchpanzer version.
RobW: If you need that type of wheel, I have several in my spares bin.

That's some fine detail work on those road wheels, Robert.
The Hetzer is now built but not yet primed as was the plan. I was a bit lazy with modelling this weekend but the weather was simply too good.
I've started on the Zvezda T-90 and hopefully I'll get it built before Meng release their and I lose all interest in the Zvezda kit. There are as many parts or more on the T-90 turret alone than the entire Academy Hetzer kit. At least that's what it feels like. The Hetzer build sequence is split into 13 parts, the T-90 turret has 18 steps with multiple sub-assemblies.

Nice road wheels Robert!
Finally completed the turret. Now on to the road wheels, sprockets, and tracks! Hope to start painting by the weekend.

Hello friends!
@ Sebastian and John.- Thanks for you welcome!
I started the old Academy Kit, the version correct is Stug IV, Late.
I received the hull damaged, but no problem. For fill the holes I used Styrene plastic and putty of Humbrol.
Regards!
Rodolfo

Looks nice Rodolfo. Wonder what differences there are between your late Stug IV and my mid one?

Matt, have 6 spares which should be enough for any over-cautious StuG commander to keep going for a while... we thinking of doing whitewashed top, grey bottom but 1 wheel white (assuming rst place, thus having the white wash when the already in-place wheels didnt.... )

Here’s my project, Dragon’s premium Panther Ausf D that I plan to build straight out of the box. I’ve started some work on the lower hull and road wheels.

@Jeff T: Yup, Black Knight. I built the BK Panther G last year and that went together well. I'm not going with the kit markings though. Probably Panzer Lehr or 2nd SS.

no photos for the moment but all wheels done. am going with 3 spares (plus 1 "empty" spare slot - that wheel (whitewashed) will have been fitted to give a contrast vs the grey lower structure - i know what I mean, it will look OK in photos I am sure). Have also added the suspension to the hull - went on nicely.
next I am going to look at the upper hull and the fenders. Going to use the kit ones but thin, damage and remove parts - needs to look like it has seen some action.
EDIT - having put the suspension on i looked at the wheels that will be mounted and if it is worth putting the "tubes" in. I think that (a) as theya re a little over-scale and (b) you wont see much) that the additional detail/time would be better spent where it makes a more visual impact. Lazy modelling I know but I see it more as utilising time/resources where I will get the bigger return....

Tristan...That looks like a sweet kit.How soon before you get it? I hate waiting for new stuff to arrive. It's worse than Christmas.
Rob W...Don't think of it as lazy.Think of it as effective time management
Roadwheels primed and ready to be painted
Which brings Me to My first question for all you Panzer Heads out there.
From what I can find out,the roadwheels where rubber, right? But what about the upper idlers and rear sprocket?I have been able to find some pics, but can't tell if they are rubber or or all steel. Can any body help Me out? Jeff T.

Hey Jeff, I ordered this morning at like 1am so the kits should arrive tomorrow before lunch. The postservice here in Germany is rather efficient.
As for your idlers, the paint guides I can find for the chassis all show them to be rubber too but I'm sure someone else can give you a more definite answer.
