Thanks Paul. Nice to be back modelling after so many months.
Now as for the red eggs, those were easy to tackle. As for the subject in the photo, well that one will be tricky my friend, diffuicult Sunday ahead! As you can see the weathering process is going to be a nightmare! The coal technique will be required with this one.
Happy Easter to everyone guys.

Thanks Paul.
I'm going to touch up some of the Black Green spots and add the third colour. Let that dry and work on the turret and side skirts.
And work on the JSU, M1114, F-106 DeltaDart, Panzer III, etc..

Nice work gents!

Bob, the Favorit looks great. One question - did it use different tow hooks to the regular T-55 or did Skif just get a bit 'artistic' in their moulding?

Thanks Paul!

I added the two other colors but I don't think there is enough contrast in the two greens, may re-do that.

Cheers Rob.

SKIF got very 'artistic' with more than just the tow hooks in these kits

Cleaned up the edges of the tan and darker green, I am going to leave it as is as there is enough contrast just barely.

Cheers Rob.

I also got the rubber painted on the wheels and managed to do it using only one mask.

Cheers Rob.

Looks to me a more recent 1958 T-55 release from Trump.
I'm building almost the same kit I believe.
Question: When building a NVA T-55A, I'm told the East German Army had Chech production T-55?
My interior job on the Trump kit is still in progress.
I'm glad it even fits for this kit. Needs a little work on cleaning and taking away fractions of mm. extra.
Tonight I'll start a topic on this.

Cheers,

RJ

Nice work Matthew, she looks great!

I've had a bit of a re-think on the figure front, thing I'm going to substitute this guy in instead:

No that's not an AK he's holding, if you think you know and maybe think I'm stupid or mad (or both!) check out the BLOG and hopefully I shall retain my integrity!

Cheers,

Oh thank the modelling gods... I was just coming on to see about an extension

I'm close but I want just a little more time and now the great builds start coming out of the woodwork to distract me from finishing.

Robert it is the classic Trumpeter T 55 with another sprue tree for the blade. All the problems we know about the kit are still there, although the blade is really good.

Ko Sprue, the blade is really easy to build only the hydraulic unit at the front needs some attention. Then there is the height issue of the hull from the ground, but that can be easily fixed.I have started working on the kit so when I get back home I will post some pics.
