Hi Mathew cool build there
now for a second one eh
.
Try this SBS for getting pics into the gallery, this is how I do it. You can get larger pics in there now, but I don't know what the maximum size, width 450 height 357 instead of the above mentioned.
Hope it works, if not let me know where it sticks

I use a free program called photrazer to resize my photos, it makes the file size smaller and the picture smaller without losing quality. It is fast, easy to use and will do a whole folder at once.
Cheers Rob.

Thanks for the walk through, Paul. I'll upload a couple of pics to the gallery later. And, yes, time for the KV now!

John nice camo there. Not too far now.
Rob good job there mate! I love the camo! (Reminds me of that Gremlin with the white striped hair!
)
Ko Sprue One you are a very patient man if you managed to tackle that kit! Waiting to see more.
Matthew the T62 looks great!
Paul sorry mate but no back legs survived the battle.
The knife is done and it is workable. As a later addition to the kit Trumpy made a much better job with it.
The suspension arms were glued higher as to reduce ground clearance. It sits way to high. The upper hull was cleared form some molded on details because PE parts will go there. The sprocket wheels will also need to get narrowed in oerder to use the link by link tracks from Trumpy. The main gun also needed some filling and sanding. The auxiliary fuel pump box needed to get sorter because the turret cant turn otherwise. External fuel lines are to be made tomorrow. And now time to fix myself a drink and off to sand those wheels....
My work.

The end date has been extended to 22 May. Your progress looks almost finished or at least about ready for paint.
Question on the two hatches on T-55 turrets - Do both articulate around to any radial position by the operators?

David nice work there! I admire your patience.
Got some more work done but still too far from finishing with the hull. Too much work and a lot of PE still to go there. I must admit that the Eduard set for Trumpy's kit is excellent! I hope for those of us that have not finished yet that we will be on time!

My order that includes the tracks for my T-55 has been shipped and may actually get here in time.
Cheers Rob.

John jkb a nice and speedy start there my friend
, you 'll soon be hitting paint
John H lovely finish there, well worth the effort you put into that tank
Lap Man she's coming along fine and you have plenty of time left yet
Dave don't rush anything you doing fine and as you have noticed you still have plenty of time left
Rob I sure hope the tracks turn up in time, would be a shame to have to use the rubber band things
KoSprueOne Nice job, you sure shown that dog of a kit who the boss is
. I like the dirt you have added
are they ground chalks or purposely bought powders?

I've been working on the hull, finished the camo added a Matt Coat before starting filtering & washing.
On the turret I'm still adding small parts & PE, Primer will be added soon, I hope.
No point on adding photos since Photobucket account reached maximum traffic, I should post less photos and work on fewer builds...

Paul - Thanks for the comment. I used ground up art chalks applied with water.
I couldn't leave well enough alone and started in with pin washes. I'll follow with dry brushing too. It just looks too plain to me

Nice finish Lap Man
. It looks just like the dirty looking thing I could have been up against, if the cold war had gone hot

eMan the T 62 looks really good. I like the weathering, especially around the gun manlet.
Ok, one question to anyone that can help guys. In the pic below you can see the anti radiation shield that most Soviet built JNA T 55s had. Has anyone scratchbuilt these parts? From what i found the loader's hatch has the same thing plus a piece between the two hatches. Is that correct or there are more stuff i must do? Any help is more than welcome!

Wow gents, some serious progress, looks like things are hotting up towards the end.
Bob, Lapman and Jon - very nice lads. Jon your weathering certainly has finished your T-69 off very nicely.
I'm reaching the finishing stages now - a little more still to do but nearly there:
Photos are coming out a lot better now so went a bit crazy on the pics over on the
BLOG!

James - Wow! your T55 looks incredible. Thank you for your kind words re the T69 but looking at the pictures on your blog I realise that I'm only playing at it.

Some great work going on here. John, Kosprue, and lap man congradulations on finishing your builds, they look awesome.
James outstanding work there, keep it up. I hoping to have some posts here in a couple of days, family has been sick so work has come to a stop. In the mean time I found some interesting photos on the web I wanted to share. Here is a T-62 rocket pods removed from a hind that has been installed in the turret. A BMP-1 with a gun pod installed both were taken in Astan but no clue if they were used by the Russian or Afghan army. Paul if you can get the part 2 of the T-54/55/62 campaign off the ground, I'm going for the T-62

eMan - nice and grimy finish. Very realistic effects
James - I can't see it anymore either
kruppw - Thanks! More updated FAVORIT pictures will follow as soon as I have time to take them . . .
BUBLINA and SLAPC building continues as well
