Anyone interested in a campaign dedicated to protecting the guys on the ground? These are the guidelines I generally have in mind:
1) Any ground-based defensive counter-air asset; AAA, SAM, guy throwing rocks in the air, etc. (kind of want to stay away from things like Aegis ships and air superiority fighters, although a gun stuck on a barge would be cool)
2) Any era, any nation (or non-state actor), any scale
3) No what-ifs; if not something 'common' ought to have a photo or something to show it actually existed (see gun on a barge above)
4) OOB, scratch or anywhere in between, but can't be started prior to start of the campaign
Wadya think?

Awesome! And the campaign slowly lurches into motion...
Welcome aboard! Hopefully we'll get enough to get this thing off the ground.

Since Jim was kind enough to move this thread to the proper location for me, it's worth a bump!

Hi,
I'd be up for that, have a Trumpeter and Dragon vehicle with Flak.

My understanding is the campaign administrators determine the timing based on what other campaigns are in the pipeline. I would not want it to start too soon, as I'm currently enlisted in three other active campaigns, but I don't want to wait too long! I also have a vintage TAM Mobelwagen which has me in a quandary: whether to build the prototype 20mm version OOB, or swap out with the 37mm production version.

wasn´t there a AA-something last year?... anyway I´m in...
hopefully we can get this started, as all the other (must have been at least 3)campaigns I wanted to enter with my 3,7mm on the Mercedes Maultier didn´t get submitted...

I'm digging that; especially if you can nail that camo.

Interresting choice... with just a brief look I´d have said it´s a captured Gaz AAA with a German 37mm on it...
but those chaps are Russians... so re-re captured or all russian "engineering"?
Got a bit of time and searched for my ref pic:
as I went for the 20mm on a Krupp Protze in a previous campaign I´m going bigger... as the bigger the better
The Maultier is comming from Zevezda and the 37mm is the Trumpeter one with the PE-shields

From what I have found is it is a 25mm mounted on a Gaz AAA.
I have a Gaz AAA in the stash just need to find a 25mm

I'm on it, I have in stock 2cm Flak 38 on Pz.Kpfw.38 t Tristar. When are you going to start this campaign, because I have a tight schedule for the workbench.

Sounds like a deal, to me!
Flak-stuff abounds in my stash... Wirbelwinds, Ostwinds, FlaKPz 1, FlaKPz 38(t), FlaK on half-tracks and Maultiers, etc.
I'll promise to not do another 2cm FlaK 38 standing by itself. Variation and diversity are the spice of (modeling) life!

Nice choice Paweł, I´ve build it the last time. Some parts will break you fingers, but in MHO it´s better than the Dragon 20mm (not only pirce-wise)...
although the DML carriage is superior in detail, as the weldlies wich go round the entire carriage are a barely visible on the Tristar kit...you´ll get more detail in the upper part

Well most people seem to be going for the WWII real "flak" but this is what I'm thinking of:
The Tunguska, to go with my Shilka & SAM-6
