Nice to see things are picking up again. Sorry to hear you've been ill Brent. You have my sympathies as I suffer from a long term medical condition and my meds tend to send me quite dopey so painting is out of the question then lol. Be nice to see the Kampfgruppe finished.
Looking forward to seeing your progress on the Firefly Todd. Those Miniart figs are quite nice. I bought a box but appear to have lost them somewhere in the cupboard. I think they may be in another box hence I can't find them . You'll have to let us know what the Firefly's like as a build. I bought a DML one about 20 years ago and made a complete pigs ear of it and haven't done one since. I think it's time to try one again.

Nice build of the Stug Tom. Which one is it? I'm building two of the Tamiya Stug IV's for my next project and am enjoying them as they're a nice build. I've finally got around to sticking some pics in the gallery. I had trouble choosing as there's a lot of stuff going on in the dio so if there's too many I'll let you decide whether to take some out Pete. Where have all the other blokes gone? Lots signed up but they've been quiet

Hey Karl hopefully the other guys will be completing soon. A couple of months to go, and it has been a very busy summer campaign wise.

Thanks Pete.
Karl I agree with you, the Miniart figure kits are great! I also love the Tasca Sherman's, no one comes close to the detail and accuracy of these kits. The fit is amazing and you can put them together quit fast. Here is my progress so far.
Most of the hull is done, now on to the suspension.
Cheers
Todd

Thanks Pete. Yes the kit comes with a small photo etch set with all the normal bits you should have for a Sherman. As any seasoned modeller knows even the best kits will need little things added here and there including this gem. I finished the suspension but I found some bolts missing and I have yet to find any Sherman suspension kit that has the spring compression access plugs molded so I added them as well. Next up is the turret!
Cheers
Todd

Fellow Market-Gardeners,
Now that my last campaign has wrapped up, back to work on my Tamiya 1/48 Firefly. Here is a progress shot.
The lower hull is painted black to prime the metal hull and to sort-of 'preshade' the lower hull for future work. Now messing with some fiddly photoetch.
Thanks,
Stephen

Shame your build never got off the ground, but thanks for stopping by and looking in on everyone elses builds. I saw your figures and equipment in the Bronco tail section of the Horsa thread, they look superb. Did you know Zvesda have a German Paras with one guy with a chute in plastic. A friend is converting to British Paras for a dio. I just built and painted the chute, it is really good.
Pic
He bought me the kit for helping him, its a really nice kit.

Hi Pete,
Yes, saw the chute looks good. I'm surprised no one has made a set of fabric chutes of different colours lol, now that would be cool!

Hi Peter, hi everybody -
Compliments to all on the great builds/figures/dios that have been accumulating here...just an update on my Jagdpanzer IV project - back in April I started the new Dragon kit w/Zimmerit (6369 - with the incorrect gun and mantlet) and got about halfway through the build and was ready to post pictures before I got the Firefly Collection book on the Germans in Holland (No. and found out that SS-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 9.......had applied concrete armor to their JpPz IVs by the time of Market Garden:
Back to the drawing board... Luckily, the old Dragon kit from 1996 comes cheap, and conveniently, there is an Atak resin set for the concrete armor. So, I'm still in the running for this campaign, even if I have to go kinda crazy with the aftermarket stuff:
I've been working on the fairly intricate Tristar suspension the last week and will be posting updates as time permits. I originally wanted to set the JgPz in a diorama, but I don't think I'll have time now; at the very least, though, I want to finish this build - still 5 weeks to go!

Nice Jerry ....I build pretty quick myself, but that will be going some to get completed.
As there are a few that may need a bit longer I can ask for an extension. Those who wish for extra few weeks say aye.
Pete
