Hey
There is no campaign gallery yet.......but I already requested for it twice so I hope it won't take long now.
2 - 3 pics per entry will do. Is it possible you post some larger images....like 500 x 375 pixel or maybe 600 x 480 pixel? The pics you've posted are so small you can't really see details
It looks good though...nice winter camouflage!
Update on my 251/22 progress. I finished about 50% of the hull and I painted the lower hull already (before assembly of the upper hull) to make things a bit easier for myself. Pics will follow soon, maybe tommorow!

Hi All
Just enlisted at the Big A. This campaign looks to be right up my alley. This is my first AFV for a while. The Jagdpanther is my fav looking AFV. I thought I'd improve my skills by adding some PE screens, fenders etc. Some Friuls are on the way along with a Jordi barrel. More pics as I progress.

It is a nice looking jagdpanther...
The fenders do look good... I did start building the same vehicle for the Ardennes Offensive campaign (though have not finished it yet). And I have to say, the Friuls look AWESOME ( I have them myself).
I am looking forward to the next shots...
Cheers,
Harm

I had had it with studying for today, and decided to relax a little. The finals and stress is for tomorrow...
This is my start of the Marder I. The Trumpeter kit with the Blast update set. The fit of the update set is good so far (though there were two gapse on each side of the floor plates. The gearbox is not yet glued, and is the worst cast part I have seen so far... the halves are on one side slightly of, so a little filler and sanding is needed. The castingplugs the bottom of the floorplate were a bit nasty to remove (and you have to, in order to have it sit flush. For the rest of it, the part is simply put on top of the floor of the hull. But if these are the worst things to happen (and it seems that way on first inspection), this update set is well worth the money.
As far as the Trumpeter kit goes, there is a gap on the front where the transmission covers (?) are glued to the hull. But due to the hull shape I think that is to be inspected. It should be fairly easy to correct with putty, nailpolish and some sanding.
Here are the images. Any pointers and criticism is welcome of course.

Finaly have i recived my M18 hellcat! I have made the hull interior glued and painted! The running gear is completed. The model is from Acadamy, but a bit mixed opinion about it! The running gear was a hell to complete, and its not very impressive, and the hull interior did not fit so i had to gut some of it off! So i must say that the achilles is bit better!
Though better then my first acadamy model! The stug, which was such a ugly kid, so i gave my brothers so they could have some shotting practice with the paintguns . So a bit mixed opinion! But the rest looks good! But i wish i had some money to some extra aftermarket bits! Because some of the molds is a bit bad!
So in my next post you can see my model primed!

Hell, we should have just had a Jadgpanther group build... Due to recent power outages in the Midwest, mostly in my back yard, pictures will be up tomorrow.

Hi Jet,
I have already seen that one (check up on it every day). The way you do your PE amazes me... what I wonder when I see it are two things
Keep up the good work,
Harm:
How do you keep your parts together while soldering?
What do you do to prevent already soldered on parts coming off when soldering next to them?
You might not be too happy with your Hornisse build, but to me it still is a goal to aim for. And many of the models here are still an exaple for me...

Finally got some photos of my 251/22 Ausf.D build by AFV Club. So far it has been a straight forward build. No problems with the upper and lower fit.
Now to finish the gun and install.

I switched kits after I just got a little done on my 1/48 scale Tamiya Hetzer. I'm saving that for another day. I ran across a Hasegawa Sd.Kfz.162 Jagdpanzer IV L/48 "late version" that I won on eBay a long while ago in a lot of kits.
This kit has two small missing parts that I will have to replicate: one is a square hatch and the other is a small fender bracket/schurtzen mount that I will probably leave off and just ding the front fender to make it look like battle damage.
So far I have the lower hull assembled and puttied. There are a pair of sink holes on the upper and lower front hull slopes from interior mounting pins. Also there is a machine gun port on the left front that has to be puttied over (so far it has taken 3 applications of putty to smooth out the hole).
I strippled some cast texture onto the mantlet. I also thinned out the front and rear fenders to give them a more scale appearance.
Neat little tank that is building fairly quickly if it werent for the filler/putty areas mentioned above. The parts fit pretty good so far.

Cool :-)
Some good news:
If you go to the Gallery, then Campaigns (Group Builts), you can find the TD gallery there, both for in-progress pics and finished pics!

Word of warning...
If you are going to build the Trumpeter Marder I, you have to like sanding and filling... sinkholes/knockout marks all over the place on the interior of the surperstructure armor and the underside of the fenders...

Finally...
Still haven't recieved my Trumpeter L/61, so I started on Italeri's old Marder III in the meantime.
It's a good kit, nice fitting, builds very fast. This is how far I came last saturdaynight:
(OK, actually it's sad if a guy builds on a saturdaynight, but my days of saturdaynight fever are long gone...)

Finaly can i post some pics of my progressing hellcat! Here is the interior!
Posted: Sunday, June 12, 2005 - 09:30 AM UTC
These are looking good guys...
nice paintjob!
I myself have done a little. I filled the marks on my gunshields and sanded them. Also glued the first parts to the sidewalls and glued the first parts of the gun mount together. I also filled every knock-out mark on the sprue I could find. And there are a lot of them ! (as mentioned before).
For the rest, the kit is coming together nicely. But I have retty much done most of what I could do without going full force at the Blast set. That is for later this week.
This vehicle is tiny compared to a Jagdpanther (or the 1/350 King George V I have started).
Cheers,
Harm
