I'm in. A CVR(T) conversion. Scimitar (AFV Club) to Sabre (Cast Off). And maybe a Chally 2 as well. I need to finish by mid Apr though as I am off to the desert dirtbox again.

I'm going with an Aussie AS-2 now, in 3-tone
Is this the thread where we post the in-progress photos? If not, is there a DG where this group build threads get posted?
Here it is at H+11

Hi stormfront,
You are free to place your progress shots in this thread if you wish but it may be more frequently viewed if you place it in the gallery space for this campaign. To find it, click on the Gallery tab above (you must log on again in the gallery).
Click on Campaigns (Group Builds) > 2006 Campaigns > Modern Armored Subjects Campaign.
Once in there just click on the upload link on the top right and follow the rest of the instructions.
If you have any issues doing this, feel free to PM me about it.
Fantastic progress by the way! Im guessing the grey panels are the anti slip coats? Please do share any technics you have used on this kit with the rest of us. Looking forward to seeing more progress shots.

That's for the info Jazza. This is my first campaign on Armorama. Not much to say on the build thus far as I am trying to keep it as OTB as possible.
The grey bits are indeed a no-skid texture, however I just made up where I thought it should go so please nobody use it as a reference!

Hey gents,
I think I will jump in with a Japanese Type 90.
Does anyone know what are the camo colors on the Type 90?
Thanks,
Ray Manneck

Hi there Ray,
Great choice on the Type 90.
Here's a website that might be of use.

Well, what the hell, maybe I will do both!! Haha!
Cheers!

Been somewhat quiet on the Modern Armor front. dexter and bison appear to be last few to add photos to the gallery. Anyone else care to share their work in progress?
Im still trying to find time to get a start on my chally 1 but time seems to elude me so i will have to try again this weekend. Will certainly be documenting it well for my own reference.

I know it’s a little late but I’m going to start working on an 1/35 M2 Bradley here soon and was thinking of entering it in the campaign.
This will also be the first armor kit I build sense coming back to the hobby almost a year ago. Surprising actually considering that armor is my favored subject.
Just wanted to check and see if you guys minded a late starter.

late starter?? Its only February. Another 4 months to go...plenty of time!
Would be great if you could contribute another Bradley to the campaign because we are getting some really good ones. Olivier being one of them and Gino as well. The next one to look out for is EPI's aka Pete.

Thanks guys.
I’ve seen the bradleys completed Oliver and Gino and there both fantastic. Great job guys.
Mine probably won’t turn out nearly as nice but as I said it will my first armor kit in a long time so I’m just trying to get back into the swing of things.
Anyway I’m going to build Academy’s M2 bradley kit pretty much out of box. I’m not sure what version it is.
I’m going to try painting it as a bradley used in the gulf war and might try a little weathering.
I have the kit and will be stating construction right away but I still need to order some paint for it.

Jacob,
That is the type of Bradley I have in my bay. If you need any reference photo's, don't hesitate to ask cause I have plenty. And if there is something I missed or you need something in particular, just let me know and when I am at work, I will just shoot a picture and get it right to you.

Thanks Pete.
If you can send me any I would appreciate it. Especially of if you have any good pictures of the tracks they would really help me.
My Email can be found in my profile. Just PM me if you send any because I don’t check my Email often.

I'm doing the Trumpeter JGSDF Type 87. Got the hull halves together and suspension done so far. Will be done OOB as the kit has some etch in it. Good kit so far.

Im partly responsible for this. :-)
Managing 3 campaigns is enough for me this year else i might as well start a 'War' category in the campaign section which covers different subsets of campaigns. :-)
Very glad to see the huge participation for this campaign guys....Im really really keen to see peoples progress shots...there are already some brilliant ones in there already so do check it out if you havent already.
Im hoping to start on my chally soon...just need to convince my wife that its a matter of life and death.

Actually on that note on whether you can make it in on time....what do you guys think in terms of the deadline. Do you feel its fair to push the deadline to accomodate those with late entries or should it be set in stone with no flexibility?
