Hi Matthew
Congratulations on that one - looks great Did you mask the places where paint is worn of or did you paint on the areas afterwards?

The tracks are a pain in the a**e,compared to the Tristar PZ 1 ,

One side down , one to go
I'll think I'll have a lay down now,or build the turret,NO more track links today

HI Everyone!
I haven't been able to give an update to this forum until now.
I've got my Panzer IV about 95% complete, I just need the minor detail pieces to be finished,
Then we're off to the Paint shop....
I'll try to have some pics on my next reply to this form...

Hi
Here is my finished entry for the desert campaign. It is the 1/35 Zvezda/Italeri Tiger I early version. It is from Schweres Panzer Abteilung 501 in Tunesia in the Winter 1942/43.
Comments are welcome
Great fun to participate

I added some of my Panzer IV pics to the KitMaker website,
I am using the Academy Panzer IV kit, with all my own
scratchbuilding parts.
Some of the basic pioneer tooling and accessories I redone myself by using brass/alluminum rod and sheet of copper for the brackets and clasps.
.03 half round styreen was used for the welding seams on the turret, then by using a #11 hobby knife to break the rod and simulate beads, Then a lot of Tamiya Fine Iiquid glue to make a smooth welding look.
Gunzo "Mr Surface 500" dabbed on with paint brush to simulate the casting of the steel plates.
Plastic styreen sheet was used to remake the tow hooks up front. I plan an using a neckles chain for tow chains on the front hooks and hook pins.
Now it's off to the paint shop....

Thanks Guys for the encouraging words....
NOW, I need alittle help
This pic is my Inspiration for this build:
I Found the pic on the net and don't remember where I got it....
or if it is from a review of a book, model, etc.....
I like the Paint, Markings and Weathering of this drawing
My questions are....
1) I need the 15th Panzer markings for the front of the Tank
as well as any that maybe on the rear of the Tank,
2) Is Tamiya XF-60 the best color for this scheme or does anyone have a better reference color?
3) Any other information is always welcome....

As far as I recall these markings are on one of the Tamiya decal sheets for German WWII armour. However, I am not entirely sure as I do not have my decals right now, so my memory could be wrong.

Hi All
The chev didn't work out as I had hoped, so I have built up a Humber Mk1 Armd. car, it is a resin kit in 1/35th scale.
Pics posted in the gallery.
Cheers

Great one, Brent. You have included a lot of nice details into what must be a very small vehicle if you are using it for wargaming.

I just uploaded pix of my Academy IDF Shmira mutt to the photo album. I built it in a little under 2 weeks. Tamiya Desert Yellow overall, weathered using Tamiya Weathermaster sets. Using a combo of Academy and the Shmira conversion kit.
Thanks!
