Jesper,
That is looking really good. Where do you find all the time?

Hi Carl
Thanks for the comment - appreciate it. I do not really know how I find the time. But I think building models is actually good relaxation, so I can build even after a hard day at work. Maybe that is the secret - and the rainy Summer so far

Hi guys and girls
After a true model making madness this weekend I finished my Sturm Tiger for this campaign. It is one of my best kits so far in my own humble opinion
It is based loosely on the one of the profiles on the side of the Revell box and the Sturm Tiger pictures posted earlier in this tread. It should represent one of the last Sturm Tigers produced in late 1944.
Weathering was kept to a minimum focusing around the hatches and the engine deck. The engine itself got a little more weathering as the Sturm Tigers were rebuild Tiger 1s and the engine were probably reused after an overhaul.
It was great fun to participate! A well run campaign so far in my opinion.

Hello guys, you have been doing a great job, as for me...well I haven't had that much time.
Here are some in progress pictures of what I got so far. I'm done with the interior parts and better pics will come when I'm done painting.
So far this has been a wonderful kit, full of detail even where you cannot see it. Although like all recent dragon releases this kit has too many parts

Jesper- WOW. Your Sturmtiger is amazing. Paint job, weathering, display, and subject all came together for you there. You should submit that in the MOM, and do a feature build article.
Cuales-Good start
As for me, I have not done a thing since I last posted pictures. Life does get in the way sometimes. I hope to continue building next week.

Thanks for the kind words, Carl. I appreciate it. I think I might submit it to MOM.
It was great fun to participate

Hey there fellow after-marketers...
I saw somewhere on this thred that it doesn't matter when you started the model. Is that still a valid guideline for this campaign?
I decked out a Tiger I with complete interior from about 3-4 after market kits a few months ago. It needs some work now to make it presentable again...would this count for the the Heart of Gold campaign?
If not, I have a few other ones laying around. thanks!

I originally was going to do the new Dragon T34/85 with an engine compartment, but have picked up one the HobbyBoss 1/48th scale T34s with full interior and engine... so I think I'll take a run at doing the HobbyBoss with turrent on and engine hatches closed, and do another one as blown, with turrent off and hatches open or off

The goal of this campaign is to showcase interiors. I will accept your entry, as long as it is finished in time

Great. Go for it. I don't recall seeing too many people doing 1/48 armor with interiors on these posts. I am sure there are a lot of them out there though.

It was graduate school -work in a lab like a horse for little money... If I'm lucky I'll do the same for an actual salary.

Hello I am new to this group, I have started working on my 1/16 Trumpeter T/34 for the Heart Of Gold Campaign. I posted some photos of the build and hope to finish it by the deadline. More photos coming.

Ok, I just jumped into this one myself, but a little late. I just picked up DML's new 38-T with interior. So far it looks like a great little kit. We will see if I can actually finish the interior. ( I usually give up and close it )

This site and the campaign have been the push that I have needed to get me going. I am new to the online world of modeling but so far it's great.
The 1/16 scale is a big job but I love this kit. Does thiskit fit the rules since it comes apart in the middle.

Sheldon and Mark-Welcome to the HoG.
Sheldon-Yes. I think that big T-34 should be a fine addition to the Campaign.
Andras-It sure looks like a Panther to me.
A few of you have probably noticed I have been over on Aeroscale working on a B-25 (with a full interior). I have now completed that guy. So I will now continue on my StuG. This morning I was busy with the roadwheels. I dont have any new pictures to post. But there will probably will be some in a week or so.

I been working on the big boy all week and I will have more pics this weekend. The more I work on this project the more I love being a modeler.

I am looking forward to see more, Sheldon. I have this kit in my stash but have not gotten around to building it yet. It will be interesting to see how you progress with this kit.
Looking forward to see more.

Hi Carl,
I just found out about this campaign. Some months ago I started with the old M2 Bradley from Tamiya but I didn't finish it. So I like to join if possible as this would be a chance to complete it.
greetings ro
