Hi, Karl,

I see your point. What we have in mind is an opportunity to create models representing either or both sides of a Blitzkreig battle. In other words, you might model a Polish cavalry charge against a German tank, or a French Char-B attacking a Panzer II. Another example might be the use of German 88's during a British tank attack at Arras. We're trying to open it up to any type of vehicle, so long as it is appropriate for the given timeline. But as things go along, we may find we have to tighten up the rules. Matt is still working on them, so nothing is cast in concrete yet. The administrators might tell us that we've chosen too broad a scenario, so we'll all have to wait and see what everyone decides. Remember that this campaign is still in its planning stages. And thank you for all your input.
cheers,
Bruce

hello Mike,
how about Blitzkrieg:The Early Years Sept.1,1939-May1,1941 or The Battle For Europe Part 1 Sept.1,1939-May1,1941 or World War 2:The Early Years Sept1,1939-May11941.So three ways to name this campaign.this all will be decided my Matt(Lsniper)as he is the one who suggested all of this
cheers to all,
Bruce

hello Matt,
whis needs to be wrote up and summitted.i do not know what the name will be,but lets make sure we stop at the end of the greek campaign.i kind of like the name Blitzkrieg:The Early Years Sept.1,1939-May1,1941.this covers everything in Europe up to the attack on Russia.Jasper has got the spirit of this campaign ie:Russian attack on either Finland or Poland.if this get's approved my entery will be a Pz 1 in Norway.i even found a artillery gun
(model)used by the norway army against the Panzers in my very first dio.
hope all well with you,
Bruce
edit:Matt, you could split it into 2 differant campaigns.the first one could be Poland,Finland,Denmark and Norway for the spring of '08.the second part could be low countries, france, and the Balkins, stopping after the Greek campaign for the winter of 08-09.this way anyone can pick which one they want to do.how does that sound.

Matt, don't even go there man.....it's merely "defining" the campaign...that's all. You and Bruce are putting this together...keep it going. Trust me, been there, done that, it'll work.

I think you should go for this title or something similar. It would be a great campaign and I am sure there will be many participants.

Go ahead with it - it will work.

hello Matt,
i think 1/8-1/1200.for larger sizes we need clear pics.some people like the larger size because they can make it remote control.just my thoughts.ican't do anything smaller then 1/48,i mostly do 1/35.
cheers,

hello Matt,
how about 1/8 to 1/72.that way the people who like the smaller scale will join in.
cheers,
Bruce
edit: how about a start on May 1,2008-Oct.1,2008.i looked at the start/stop times on the campaigns.this looks like a perfect time.the far east campaign ends on June 2,2008,and there is nothing after it as of today.

It sure sounds like a great idea for a campaign. It's the perfect excuse for me to get the new Panzer 38(t) model from Dragon that I've been drooling over lately. Is there a possibility to include the Blitzkrieg in Russia from 1941-1942? I was thinking of doing a dio also including a Kleines Kettenkraftrad and they weren't in service until later in 1941 so that would be great for me. Either way you can count me in.
