MBR & Gary,

Nice builds! That PzH2000 is huge - how on earth did the real thing turn corners?

Very carefully

Actually there a roads in germany that this beast or the slightly smaller Leopard IIA6 can't use, even some Bundesstrassen (Level I roads, one step below the Autobahn) where they are crossing cities.

Hey, all,

Is the campaign now closed? If so, I may transfer my remaining incomplete/unstarted BW builds to one of the NATO campaigns in the hopes it will push me to finish them!

(I now have the M47, M41, and Tamiya's original Leo still in the pipe, but a Jagdpanther has pushed its way onto the workbench for the 88 campaign.)

I am not an artist but I thought I'd try to make a ribbon for the campaign. At least it might be a starting point for someone with actual graphics skills.

I'm thinking maybe the cross is too large.

Thinner national color bars

Resized to standard 50x20 pixels. Adjusted color bars according to standard as well.

The ribbons look good.

Minor quibble: The white outline of the real thing does not cover the ends of the cross Strange but universal

I know but I don't think it looks as good that way.

After seeing one with "black tops": I agree, the crosses look better with an all-white frame

First you need to add the ribbon image to the campaign page. Here's a link to it since we can't get to it from the Campaign page anymore (it doesn't show up once the end date has been passed).

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Campaigns&file=index&req=showcontent&id=314
A campaign leader should see at least two extra things to click on.

One is to upload the ribbon image. You have to download the image of my ribbon. Find the image from this thread, right click on it, then choose to save the image to your PC. You might have to rename it to a particular name. On the campaign page, click on "Add/Update Award Image". You may see something that says "UPLOAD AWARD IMAGE - Image Name: 313.gif (you must name it this on your local PC)". Rename the file to whatever it says the name should be. If you don't see that, whatever name it is should be ok. Click on the "Choose File" button and navigate to the image file on your PC then upload it. Then click the "Add Award" button. Hopefully the award should appear on the campaign page. The campaign I am leading was already started and the ribbon image was uploaded by a staff member so I'm just guessing about this.

The next is to go through the gallery and make a list of all the people who put photos of their finished model. You should also go through this thread and send PMs to those who uploaded their images here but not to the gallery and get them to upload to the gallery. To qualify for ribbons, it is usually a requirement that the images must be in the campaign gallery. I suppose as campaign leader, you don't have to be a stickler for that.

The other extra thing on the campaign page that you should see should be "Award Ribbons". I briefly saw this on the campaign I am leading but then we got a one month extension before I could actually award anything so the button isn't there anymore. I would guess that you either have to type in the handle of those who are to get the ribbon or maybe it will provide a list of all who enlisted and you click on their names. Please tell me as I am curious myself how it will work.

I think there really should be some sticky thread with instructions for first-time campaign leaders.

Messed up the URL to the campaign page. Fixed it. Should have checked that it worked in the first place.

When you go to the campaign page, do you see the "Admin: Add/Update Image Award" link? It should be near the top in the center of the page (just left of the enlistment list) under where the "Die Bundeswehr" ribbon would be. Only Campaign leaders should see that. If you don't see it, make sure you are signed in. If you are signed in, then there is something wrong and you should contact the Campaign Manager.

Can you get to the campaign page?

One possible problem is that the Kitmaker Photo Gallery is on the fritz though I'm not sure if you need the gallery for uploading a ribbon.

Gareth,
One thing that would help is to know how far have you gotten in the process.

1. Can you get to the campaign page?

OK, I've run out of patience. I will take over this campaign and award ribbons.
