Is this the Olympic legacy?

Wonder what plans they drew up their B1 from?

Yep, I figured it would cost more than their T-34's, but I was hoping for something more in the 2-300 range. Oh well, maybe I'll be able to pick one up cheaper at some point on the "bay" or at a show.

I still think it is good to trumpeter having the B**lS to do something different.

Damn, that's steep.

A bit puzzled, did Trumpy now announce a second 1/16 Tiger-B with the simplified turret?

The original suggested retail price for their M16 halftrack was over $250. Now it's on pre-order at HLJ for $180, and the prices at HLJ are usually a lot higher than prices at the Hong Kong stores like Luckymodel.. I suspect the M16 will sell around $120-130 in Hong Kong.

So, I don't think the Tiger will sell for that much when it hits Hong Kong.

It will still be a lot more than the T34's though!!

The T-34's go for 70-80 euro here.

I think I'll check Rainbowten what their prices and shipping will be, they have good prices as well.

Ha, now you can be doubting between getting a Tiger-B or a Dora....

600 balloons is a little rich for my blood.

But then I don't really have an interest in King Tigers' in any scale.

A quote off of PMMS from the link provided by Tim above:

Clarification of "Limited edition". Current advice from the distributors is this that only the number of pre-orders received by a certain date will be produced.
This means if only for example 4500 pre-orders are received worldwide by Trumpeter then only 4500 kits will be produced, so if you are contemplating getting this kit you best pre-order it somewhere without too much delay.

That just plain blows! I hope this doesn't become common practice for Trumpeter, there's enough of the limited edition stuff going on with Cyberhobby.

Limited edition limited to the number of pre-orders...hmmmm. While Trumpeter is certainly free to market (and produce) as they choose, I can imagine that somewhere down the line, one of those KTs will show up on eBay for big bucks.

Sadly, no further news on Trumpy's 1:35 T-62s.

Will 4500 sales, pay back for the outlay regarding research, tooling, marketing, and everything else that goes along with it? Will the tools be destroyed afterwards as this statement is true?
I hate these sort of marketing campaigns geared to create hype and buzz. Iīll just buy a dragon 1/35 and AM interior, save $500 and be just as happy!

makes me glad that I only do 35th scale tanks now. I too lament that Trumpeter still has yet to release the T-62 that was projected a few years back.

Hi Guys and Gals,

This looks like it will be a very nice kit. i , however can't really see paying this much , perhaps when it gets out there and the real buying customers will not allow a $600.00 kit to be purchased. $175 US or even $185 US would seem reasonable, but honestly ? We'll have to see. The only kit that I would be willing to purchase at that price, and with hesitation mind you, would be a 1/72scale Fletcher Destroyer. Now that would be a purchase! Are you listening Trumpeter??!!!

Er, back to the topic at hand, anyone know when Trumpeter might announce their future 1/35th offerings? I'm curious if they'll extend the Sd.Kfz. 7 line to the FLAK versions....
