Dear Cam And Darren
I did use silica powder with a particle size around 0.050 mm mix in a vinyl base and some water and ethanol to play with the drying time.
The silica powder give a very small grain size and it is very realistic.
I am happy you like it
Cheers

Dear All
I would like to add a Duke device and a Rhino is this normal setup or it is redundant ???
Other question, I am looking for some rhino cabling scheme, any help will be really welcome.
I hope to post some photo of the complete slat tonight.
So stay tune.
Cheers

Seb,
Looks pretty good!
Don't forget the armor panel that covers the latches on the man door in the ramp. Everybody misses this feature.
The anti-slip coating could be done with either talcum or baby powder sprinkled on.
Don't worry about the slat too much if the vehicle is out in the field. About the only time at all looks nice ans pretty is when we first put it on.
Paint the truck before putting the slat birdcage on.
Check reference photos for what changes to the add-ons for the time frame you're modeling. There is a constant learing curve on these vehicles. I.E. 2" to 1" slat, placement of lights, addition of DEK and CBS armor.
Good luck,
Dave

Hi,
on the most photos I got, the Strykers do have at least the DUKE antenna(s) mounted. Rhino is also a prominent device to be spotted.
Blast sells DUKE antennas so they do Rhino (resin). Eduard also make a Rhino device, PE of course.

Seb,
Mounting a M105D antenna for the DUKE as well as a Rhino device is OK. They each serve differant functions and would/have been used together.

Dear All
I am wondering if the dimension of the basket provide by Voyager is correct.
I cannot slide in a jerrycan neither a 40 ammo boxe or MRE boxes, I can put nearly nothing inside.
So why do you usually put inside the baskets??
I am stuck with them I cannot paint the model for this reason.
cheers

For the two guys that are following this thread
Hi Seb,
don't worry by the few comments( count me in the missing posters !), your model turns pretty good and I follow it with great interest as this Pro Art set is on my list, I just can tell when I'll get it dut to the cost and the length of my current list to build (a Swiss G-13 has just been added on it)
Keep on the good job and thanks for your effort to help us.
I wish you a Merry Xmas and a Happy 2009 year.

Seb, are you talking about the side bustle racks? Just about anything goes in them. If you are talking about the two rear racks these are just for the water and gas cans (jerrycans). Use the kit provided racks then...?
The model looks good. I have the Eduard set and I am afraid to get to the slat fences myself. But I am gluing the support bars on first all around and then I will paint, and then build the slat fences.

@ Olivier
PAM kit is the cheaper kit on the market and concerning the build of each slat panels, it is really easy, now gluing the all panel to the hull I can tell you much, I am working on it.
Thanks for your comments
@Bob
I am talking about the two side bustle racks, now I do believe the the Voyager set arenot correct, do you have the proper dimension for me please.
Concerning the build step with the PAM one you need to build the panels first and then glue the entire structure to the hull making it a little bit complicate.
Let see what the future bring.
I wish you all the best for 2009
Cheers

And now with the slat attached to the hull.
I finally received my extra tie downs from Voyager thanks to them.
I also finish the baskets loads.
I am really happy with the build of the slat, as you can see I did paint with Tamiya putty diluted in acetone in order to fill the small holes between each panels.
Comments are welcome
Next step finishing the slat and start to work on the blast panels
Cheers

Dear Evan
I did use the same trick as Joe aka Mother used before not my idea it is only masking tape for real paint that is
But I am stupid because of the height of the load I cannot glue the blast panels on the left right now I have to cut off and make some surgery.
Cheers

not sure what the roll is in front of the DVE, but I am pretty sure no crew would put something there that would obscure the view from the DVE.

Dear Sebastien,
please check the mout of the frontlights with your reference photos. The ones you used from ProArt are normally only installed on Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicles but you build a Infantry Carrier Vehicle.
Please also notice that there is only a very small gap between the Blast Shields and the top of the hull.
Kind regards from Munich

I have to work more on the blast panels. Did you try to install them onto the Pro Art Slat ??
It is not possible to put them on top of the slat.
Concerning the front light, I never check this issue, I gonna revise my ref pics.
Btw do you have more pics of your Stryker with the blast panels installed ??
