Ciro-- great work! The fuel lines are magnificent. Great detail work. What adhesives are you using and how did you get the weld bead done on the front slope?
thanks

Very clean. TOO clean almost. I'd damage it a heck of a lot more. You've seen how badly many were maintained. Your fuel lines are great, but you can still retain a few and remove a fuel cell or two. Pull off a few access covers (fan, or internal fuel tank covers on front of hull) and it will really have "the look." You could even pull the periscope from its mount for added visual interest.

Ciro
I echo Bob on the state of the T-55.
concerning the fuel line, the one gold one.
BTW did you scratch the connector on the red part, the small tiny part ???
Cheers

man! I was feeling all proud of myself and my efforst on a T-55 that I kitbashed from 3 partials to get a whole, then I see this! INCREDIBLE!

I have a T-62 Tamiya that I will start work in about a month, so this will serve as inspiration for accuracy - hw did you get what looks like a wel line along the lower front glacias?

Many thanks for your words....some replies

Dan : Thank you

Mark: The same....thank you

DJ : I've use CA glue, connectors a rubber tube and the weld lines is recreated with liquid
putty applied by a kinfe blade

Sebastien :Small tiny part are from Aber set but you need to find a good piece or rubber
tube that can be used(good in diameter)

18Bravo:Intersting point about the fuel lines and relative damage.I've alway thinked that
without all the connections the tank is not operative. From what you can say even
without this lines the tank is operative and it can start.
Internal fuel tank covers on front of hull can be removed...and the tank is still
operative?!

Bruce :You're too gentle!!Weld line is realized with liquid putty and applied by kinfe blade
(surrounding areas were masked to prefent disaster :-) )

Ciro,
The external fuel cells are not necessary for the tank to operate. It has large internal storge up front as well. Those oblong covers on the top of the hull hide a round fueling port underneath. It'll operate without them, but after time water will get in, and then there are problems.

Great fuel lines. I really like it. You seem to be doing okay on your own, but if you need help, Osprey's NV-102 T-54 and T-55 Main Battle Tanks 1944-2004 has a few pics of T-55s in Afghan service.

No prob. Just slice one off, sand it smooth, drill the filler holes and two #80 for the bolts.

Ciro I like the copper coloured ones, as I also believe that would be the material used for the real thing, However I am getting a lot wrong this last couple of weeks, you have got to love SWMBO.

Are you going to add the "notch" to the engine hatch part?.. The part where the fuel vent is located. Fuel lines and connectors look much better now.
