Hello all you "What if"fans, I got the impression the "what if"-campaign (or this forum) is no longer of intrest to a lot of people. Hope I'm wrong ...
After some brainstorming & reading the forum's entrees I've made up my mind what I'm going to build : nothing really fancy or exotic, just a slightly adjusted version of a Trumpeter "E-10" in a , now get this, a Japanese Lend-Lease version. The story behind this concept : in '43 peace between Germany and the U.K & U.S.A. The Axisforces fight a vicious war with Russia. The Japanese Imperial forces joins the fight (this is actually a fact !) So big-brother Germany sends a few shiploads of "E" to their partners. The Japanese actually bought a Tiger I , but the beast never reached its destiny ... So what if they had some German-build tank-destroyers ? Greetings 2 all.

Great book. British police helping the evil Gestapo I'm going to join thi s campain my 1st GREAT I think I'll be looking at something in the vein of Len Deighton's brilliant book SS-GB about Nazi occupied Britain in 1941. Maybe an armored car and an SS pacification squad or a group of British fascists enforcing curfew. Should be fun!

With the Allieds driven back into the sea on D Day. After the complete dustruction of Warsaw. Hitler Had one more weapon in is arsenal ..... His weapon of mass destruction ... Gas.... The soviet armies were checked in Poland. Huge areas of land posioned, the Soviets caught out and on the retreat. Breathing space for the armies of Germany, time for the Panzerwaffen to rebuild and go on the offensive. Time for the German weapon developers to put they're "Paper Panzers" into real steel versions. This is my scenario. Know its time for me to think what panzer to build. Maybe one of the E series or a Panther F type of weapon platform. I'll give it some thought and get back to you. Looking forward to letting my imagination go wild, Tank type, camo colours, crew uniforms etc Looking forward to my 1st campain. Cheers Geraint

Just dug out my Twilight 2000 and Phoenix command modules, takes me back... The free city of Krakow, survivors guide to the UK great times as a kid. I've got the US and Soviet vehical hand books out. The MIA2 Abrams III "giraffe2 its a M1A2 with a small casemate unmanned remote turret. Just a 3 man crew with auto loader and loads of other great stuff. Or the T90 again a large main battle tank with a tiny unmanned remote turret. Well worth digging these guides up loads of great pictures of future weapon platforms I used to love playing this game as a kid, I think it took up most of my free time when I was younger. me and my mates lived it. It was a massive part of my life when i was younger. Its were I got the modelling bug . cheers Geraint

Hey Guys-
search for a subject is getting serious here. Marcin suggested Tom Clancy's EndWar game site and I found this:
http://endwargame.us.ubi.com/concept.php
An M5A2 Schwarzkopf. Photo 18 of 18 bottom right hand corner. Unfortunately I cannot directly link to the shot.
I would need front, side, rear and top views to make a serious attempt at one of these.
Anyone, more familiar with EndWar, know if a book exists with concept drawings? Or even who the artist is that does the drawings?
The idea of scratch building it 100% appeals to me. The big hurdle would be the tracks- but even that would be manageable.

Now that is one cool looking machine would love to see one built up.

Heres my idea
Based in the year 1946
After the complete success at kursk in '43 German armies once again poured east, stalingrad was captured within the year and made into a memorial while russians stumbled back in fear of the new Blitzkrieg. without Russian pressure from the east italy was reclaimed and Overlord aborted, a short truce followed by a 2year phoney war started between the allied and axis, with the allies instead focusing their resources against the ever expanding Japanese empire. allied armys considered another D day set for '47 until September 16 1946 when operation 'windschlag' (windfall) the invasion of England began.
well thats my idea for an alternate history, now i'll need to kit bash for this one but what Vehicle to use hmmmmm.... and figures.
