Is there a bit of slippage into an alternate reality where there AREN'T any 1/35th scale LRs?
I'm sure confused by the continued requests for something that's already available - no, not all the variants we might want, but it's a start...

definately! short wheelbase lightweight for me, up to £25, it's been done with Jeeps, don't see the problem, no such thing as bad publicity.

The point of this thread is being missed by some folk.
Yes, we have a plastic Land Rover kit that has just been released, but, it is still inaccurate ie the wheels are wrong, the canvas tilt is poor, there is no tilt frame in the kit, no option for RHD/LHD, and other small details missing, and we are expected to pay on average 323 for it.
If this was a German WW2 vehicle there would be manufacturers falling over them selves to provide a dozen different highly detailed versions of this vehicle.
Apart from the Jeep, the Land Rover must be the most manufactured military vehicle ever so why do we have to put up with poor quality expensive kits.
The new Hobbyboss Wolf kits are most welcome but are them selves not without fault (also where is the soft-top version).
What we, as Land Rover fans want is...
1. An accurate kit to build a SERIES 2 OR 3 STRAIGHT FROM THE BOX WITH OPTIONS FOR SOFT-TOP, HARD-TOP, lhd, rhd and FFR.
2.As No1 but in short wheel base form.
3. Land Rover Defender as in No1 and 2.
4. Land Rover Lightweight.
5. Land Rover Series 1 as in No 1 and 2.
Is this too much to ask for?
Apparently it is.

This is something that is long overdue considering the global popularity and continual usage of these model Land Rover's over the past 50+ years.

The Italeri Sereies III is a welcome re-release apart from the markings - the IFOR markings were not in use in '93. There may have been a few Series III's on UNPROFOR but unlikely by the time the IFOR mission started in December '95.
My two remaining Series III's were permanently VOR by '95. What I would like to see in plastic is:
Seriously these vehicles are still in use and we would all like to see them in resin or styrene.
