This looks all great!

You should go a bit into the details what you did and how you did it. Your report would be a lot more interesting for everybody.

Cheers
Claude

My collection is in a separate room. A majority of my collection are in large glass display cases. The remaining figures remain unopened. I also have 1/6 scale vehicles. I have around 15 excluding cannons, motorcycles and other large 1/6 scale weapons. I no longer purchase Dragon 1/6 scale figures. There quality has gone down. I only purchase DiD figures and other selected figures from Soldier Story and Toy City. Once you start collecting it is hard to stop

As far as the model goes, two of the above photos depict the 2nd floor. The flooring was hand laid, sanded, nailed, stained and then sealed. I made the stove out of styrene and added a few extras like the door, burners and door latch. I used a 3/4 inch sprinkler tube for the stove pipe. The sink was made out of wood and then I used 1/12 scale moulded tile. I used a piece of 1/4 inch copper wire for the sink drain pipe. I made the stairway out of scale plywood with turned spindles. I use 1/12 scale wall paper when available. On the kitchen table is a loaf of bread. To simulate bread crumbs, I used saw dust. There are a few companies making really cool accesories like the typewriter, booklets, paper, etc.

I spend countless hours researching stuff on the web. The pots and pans I used in the kitchen were from a barbie collection. The pots are all metal. I made the cutting table from scaled wood. The diorama accessories are purchased thru Dragon and various 1/6 scale vendors. The three black chairs are from a barbie collection. I use 1/12 scale lighting. The table lamp is actually a floor lamp in 1/12 scale. One has to be creative with this scale since there aren't alot of manufacturers. All of the doors in this model are hand made. The 2nd story ceiling will be removable to gain access.

No problem. The latest photo is the first floor. The paneling, doors and fireplace are scratch built. The simulated rock on the fireplace is hand laid and then grouted. The fireplace was built out of wood. The simulated rock is colored plaster. The flooring is 1 inch squares cut out of simulated marble sheets. I'm making door plates for the doors to simluate the locking mechanism.

I have started work on the stairwell. Once I have the walls covered, I will install the lighting and I have a 1/6 scale German flag that I will hang from the wall which will be seen through one on the second story windows. I am also working on the ceilings for the second floor. These will be removable so I can gain access to fix/replace things. The walls are covered with either 1/12 scale wallpaper and or 1/12th scale simulated plaster wall coverings. The outside of the building will be chicken wired and then I will cover it with plaster. Photos will be updated soon.
